    :p
Well, it all depends on how the doctor was asked about Yao's condition. Who's idea that Yao has "giantism", resulting from an abnormal pituitary gland. :p As a matter of fact, an average doctor probably could tell you just as much about acromegaly as an orthopedic.

Who gives a damn what Charley Rosen or Dr. Tom said. Yao is a giant and he's a Rocket, he'll kick butt in the next decade or two.

I dont believe it... Yao has always been durable...

but it cant hurt.... to NOT have Yao running up to the 3 point line to force a double team on a opposing guard....

or run up to the 3 point line to pick for one of our players....

and the multi other things that he does... that maybe he dosent need to do....

except sit in the paint and play D or O

Let's take a whack at Rosen's knee. If it fractures easily, then he officially has "idiotism"

yes, Yao parents are 6ft tall and we need to also remember that Yao has been playing basketball since childhood that must be why he is taller than his parents so its part genetics and part cuz of bball... so I dont think he's a "giant" but thats just my opinion w/o any knowledge of gigantism.

if this is true, which I doubt, because the Rockets would've been extremely hesitant to draft him and sign that extension, then we are f*cked

what exactly does osteomyelitis(an infection) have to do with "giantism" :D ? Sure, you can attribute his toe nail problem to his size and weight but being big didnt cause his osteomyelitis.

Does anyone have a video of the play Yao got injured on? From what I understand, it didn't look nearly as bad as it ended up being (which would be bad). But I've only heard from one or two people. I'd like to judge for myself.

    Thanks.

This is an article just appeared in the Titan Sports, written by Yang Yi, Yao Ming's buddy, one of Yao Ming's closest friends.

Here is the summary, and what Yao Ming's view on Charley Rosen's claim that he got Gigantism.

I don't have a video, but after the collision I saw Yao collapse to the floor screaming and clutching his knee, then banging his fist on the floor right in front of the cameras. I knew it was serious after that.
