According to the above sina.com article:-

    1. Shane Battier has bought a house in Houston already, and plans to stay in Houston for the long term.
    2. His wife Heidi said to sina.com that she and Shane started to like Houston but lamented about the congested traffic.
    3. As disclosed by insider source, the Peak endorsement is worth US$4M for 3 years; other than wearing Peak shoes for every NBA game, Peak will develop other peripheral products for Battier, and he is expected to visit China every summer for commercial promotional work, and hold basketball clinics. A dedicated Chinese website will be built for Shane Battier soon.
It is just so nice to be Yao Ming's team mate.....eh ???

Are Shaq and Damon Jones obligated to wear the same brand of shoes in their NBA games as well? Or is Battier the one of a kind spokesperson for China Peak?

Shaq and Damon Jones are signed by Li Ning and not China Peak. As far as brand name and sales both domestic and international are concerned, Li Ning is doing far far superior than China Peak. Battier sort of replace Hu Weidong as the official spokesperson for China Peak, as Hu has retired, and his star power in Chinese basketball sort of fading.

Well, not every of Chinese products are low quality copycats/counterfeits.....

Did you know that both the man and woman world champions in basketball wear Chinese brand shoes ??

Peak is the exclusive sponsor for shoes and gears for the the Australian women national team which just won the FIBA Woman World Championship in Brazil.

And if I am not mistaken, the Spainish man national team which won the FIBA World Championship in Japan wear shoes and gears from Li Ning Sporting Goods.

So relax and have no fear about Shane Battier wearing a tailor-made brand of shoes from Peak.

What, US women's basketball team missed the gold medal too? Unfreaking believable. The rest of the world is catching up fast.
