And i'm getting tired of people that don't know baseball so quick to pull the plug on Lidge at this point.

Lidge has actually looked increasingly better in his last few outings.

There is a term for people like you in poker. It's called "results oriented". And people who think in "results oriented" terms are some of the biggest fish in the game.

I guess you haven't watched Rivera, Wagner, or Eckersley over their careers. They have all gone through stretches like this. Their management didn't panic and give up faith in them.

Lidge is one of the best closers in baseball. You haters have no clue what you're saying. And I am certainly glad that you have no input into the Astros personnel decisions.

woah, are you sitting there clicking refresh every 10 seconds? nobody had responded to the thread in an hour. LOLOL.

i am not saying i agree or disagree about lidge, but you lose all credibility in your argument when you compare him to rivera and eckersley. those guys were kinda dominant for more than less than a season.

so do us all a favor and quit posting and go back to crying yourself to sleep.

Actually, I had been out for an hour and just came back in time to see your worthless post.

By the way, where do you play poker at? A moron like you is just the type of opponent I prefer.

And I didn't compare him to Rivera or Eckersley. I said those guys went through the exact same thing he is going through right now. They came out of it and so will Lidge, providing we don't pull the plug on him so quickly like idiots around here are advocating. I wonder what the clueless around here will start saying if they did demote Lidge and Wheeler struggled? Would actually be funny to see if they are so quick to give up on Wheeler as they are on Lidge.

Lidge hasn't been in the bigs very long, so he hasn't had as much of a chance to be dominant for a long period of time. With time, he will prove to be right up there with Rivera and Eckersley.

    You're a complete moron.

We already know Biggio has troubles on the road... but if Ensberg can't get back to hitting like was for most of last season, and the beginning of this season, this offense is going to be in for a huge struggle.

A weird play just now... Not sure why Adam stops between first and second, and also not sure why the Rockies didn't just get the force-out at 2B while Adam was stopped there.

I've seen that a few times already this year... the runner stops on the DP grounder, and the 2B gets confused and doesn't take the force-out at 2nd (and if they go to first base, the out at second is no longer a force-out... making the indecision even more suspect).

And yet another fine example of why Adam Everett is one of the best shortstops in the league. Just saved a run there. Nice catch by Berkman too.

good god, if that kid could just hit the ball with some consistency, he would easily be an allstar and a gold-glove winner
