Sura - I've heard the same thing. Some say he is out for the season, others say he is just about ready to come back (1month of so)

alston - Hair-line fracture in his leg. (lower leg)

Yao - 6-8 weeks from the day he was injured. Hopefully back in 5-6 weeks. Yao has that bacteria in the bone of his big toe. I think he just left the hospital, not sure.

Deke - Back some time next week hopefully. They said he would be out for 2 weeks when the injury occured. He has a lacerated finger, which was also dislocated. I'm sure it's gotta be VERY sore.

DA- I would have to say he is injured, because he would definetly be playing more minutes than the likes of Graham. I can't recall what is injured on his body. Back maybe?

J Barry - JB is expected to return around the same time as Alston IIRC. Should be in the coming weeks. (I think like 2.5-3 weeks) JB injured his knee IIRC about 1 min after returning to the rockets from his calf injury.

    Ya forgot 1

MOOCHIE- I think he will be back in the next game, and if not then look for him to return by the end of next week.

The DA should be returning at least the game after the next. He was slated around mid December to miss 2 weeks of action due to a calf injury.

    Derek Anderson
Injury occurred on: Sunday, Dec. 11th at Portland (link)
officially unplayable: Saturday, Dec. 17th (link)
official expected return date: Tuesday, Jan. 3rd at Washington (link)
    speculated return date: ???
    Injury: strained right calf
. Anderson was kicked late in Sunday's game (Dec.11th) at Portland by center Joel Przybilla. "I got kicked on the inside at the end of the game in Portland," said Anderson, who played almost 19 minutes Wednesday (the 14th, at Golden State). "It was a bone bruise. It was real puffy and stiff, but the swelling has gone down a little bit. I never had one like this, on the inside." (link). The next day (Thursday, the 15th) Anderson returned to Houston to get an MRI on his knee (link). While he was in Houston, he missed the game against Seattle (listed as a right knee injury (link). Now here's where things get mysterious. After the next game that Anderson missed (at the Clippers), the Houston Chronicle reported that Anderson "sat out his second straight game with a strained right calf after missing Thursday's win at Seattle because of a sore right knee." (link). The Chronicle then reported on Sat. Dec. 17th that Anderson was "expected to miss two weeks with a strained right calf muscle suffered Sunday [the 11th against Portland]. (link). It is probable that the "knee bruise" was an impromptu, on-the-spot assessment and that the strained calf injury is the official, more thorough diagnosis.

    Yao Ming
Injury occured on: since before regular season (link)
officially unplayable: Sunday, Dec. 18th at Lakers (link)
official expected return date: no sooner than Februry 1st (six weeks after his Jan 19th surgery).
    speculated return date: ???
    Injury: osteomyelitis of the toe
. One AP article reports it as the left toe (link) while another has reported it as the right toe (link). Yao "has had a problem with his right big toe for some time, missing two preseason games because it was bothering him." (link). On Monday, Dec. 19th, the Chronicle quotes Leslie Alexander as saying that "Yao is expected to miss seven to 10 days" because of a sore toe (link); however, this turns out to have been an inaccurate cursory analysis. The chronicle article (which was released on the 19th) was probably reporting information and quotes from the previous day (the 18th), because a day later (on the 19th) Yao underwent successful surgery on his toe and was stated as requiring "antibiotics and rest for several weeks in order to allow the infection to properly heal" (link). Two days later, the Associated Press reported that Yao would be out "at least six weeks" (link)

    Dikembe Mutombo
injury occurred on: Sunday, Dec 18th at Lakers (link)
officially unplayable: Sunday, Dec 18th at Lakers (link)
official expected return date: Tuesday, Dec. 27th (link)
    speculated return date: ???
    Injury: Dislocated and lacerated finger
. As Dikembe attempted to steal the ball from a Lakers player (Sasha Vujacic), his right hand brushed across Vujacic's knee resulting in a dislocation and a laceration that required 8 stitches (according to in-game footage - thanks, Rockets2K!). The Chronicle reported that it was his left hand (link) but in-game slo-mo footage clearly shows that it was his right hand. Mutombo is scheduled to be re-evaluated on Monday, Dec. 26th (link)

    Jon Barry
Injury occurred on: Tuesday, Dec. 6th (link)
    officially unplayable: Tuesday, Dec. 6th
    offical expected return date: ???
    speculated return date: ???
    Injury: strained right calf
. After missing three games due to a bruised left foot, Barry played only two minutes into the game against Boston on Tuesday, Dec. 6th before getting hurt again (link). Barry's return date is completely unknown. On Dec. 19th, Barry stated on Houston sports radio 610 that he was not even able to run yet.

    Rafer Alston
injury occurred on: Friday, Nov. 18th (before Detroit game)
officially unplayable: Friday, Nov. 18th (vs. Detroit)
    official expected return date: ???
    speculated return date: ???
    Injury: hairline fracture in fibula
. On Thursday, Nov. 17th, Rafer Alston missed a layup with 19 seconds left in a loss at San Antonio. Alston played 29 minutes in that game and scored 2 points (link). He has not played a game since. The very next day, Alston did not play against the Detroit Pistons (in Houston). Shortly before that game, Houston sports radio 610 reported that Alston would not play because of a bruised thigh. On Nov. 22nd, the Associated Press reported that "the Rockets had initially said [Alston] was sidelined with a bruised lower right leg, but now say Alston has a hairline fracture in his fibula" (link). His injury did not occur on the night of the Spurs game. In fact, the only information I can find about the information is... on the evening of Nov. 18th (the first game Alston missed), a thread was created which contained a post by user JBIIIRockets which stated that "Alston had a leg injury tonight according to Adam Wexler" (link). I have no idea who Adam Wexler is.and I can find no information about how or when his injury occurred. If this Wexler fellow is correct, Alston injured his leg off the basketball court somehow on Nov. 18th before the Detroit game.

I will post info on Bobby Sura later. I'm tired and wanna go to sleep.
