The Rockets Shop (located at the Toyota Center) is having a $5 and $10 sale on Wednesday June 15 from 11am until 5pm. I would link, but it's not really linkable. It's right there in the middle of rockets.com on the right side underneath the RPD Audtions/04-05 Season Ticket ad.
That'd be wishful thinking. I have no idea what items are five and 10 bucks - but I'll go down and check it out on Wednesday
I gotta say... Rockets marketing is dropping the ball. A couple of weeks ago, as I travelled to California, I was in IAH and they were selling Astros caps, Texans caps, Aggie Caps, Longhorn caps.... an NO Rockets caps or any other Rocket material. That's not the way to sell merchandise. The Rockets need a LOT more distributors.

I didn't feel my statement was worthy of a new thread, nor did I create a new thread in the GARM for my small rant. It was one post. 3. It's the offseason. Yeah, it has little to do with the Rockets. So does almost every other post in the GARM.
I think he is saying that the fact that Rockets merchandise is not for sale at IAH has little do do with the Rockets, not the topic of the post.
Well, if that's the case - sorry 'bout that. I don't see how the Rockets couldn't have control over that. If Astros management can get their caps in the airport stores, and the Texans can, etc... why can't the Rockets? Why are there only two places I can get a rockets cap? Doesn't sound like good marketing to me.
Ever think maybe they were sold out??? BTW, Thanks for the heads up. May be worth checking out. I hope they have the All Star Game 2006 tee's out. I saw them there a while back, but they were mysteriously gone at the last sale.
I hear ya Droxford. I can get just about any hats here in College Station but Rockets hats. (so far at the places I have looked).
Is this a $5 $10 sale or $5/$10 off sale? Cause there is NO way that a warm up jacket is going to be $10 at the most. Either way, im passing by there, I get paid on Wed
Actually, I did think of that. I asked the guy at the store - he said none of the shops at the airport carry Rockets hats. Lids and The Rockets Shop are the only places. (Well, there was one other obscure place I found online).
really? i always see them at Acadamy, Oshman's, Foot Locker, Foot Actions, basically any footwear store in the mall.
droxford is right, because wherever I go I can ALWAYS find Cubs, Yankees, Red Sox, or Lakers merchandise, but Rockets stuff is usually hard to find, especially on the internet.
I'm in complete agreement that the Rockets do a TERRIBLE job of getting their gear out there for people outside of Houston to buy. I've brought threads like this up in the past, and it's never gotten any better. They've definitely dropped the ball on this one. You can't tell me with Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady plus relatively new uniforms that they don't have a marketable product. I've lived in Washington state, Utah, spent lots of time in the DC area, and traveled all over the U.S., and the fact is that you just can't get decent Rockets gear anywhere but Houston. BOOOOOOOooooooo-urns!!!!
