this season: Goran Dragic performance: 11.4 PT + 3.4 Rb + 5.3 AST, 44%+26%+71%，contract 5 yrs for 90 million. while Jeremy LIN performance 11.9 PT + 3.1Rb + 3.1 AST, 42%+33%+78%， and most importantly contract 2 yrs for only 4.3 million. when you talk about defense, Dragic is no better than Jeremy. Look at the HUGE difference on the salary. Dragic 10 times higher than JL. JL sure bring better marketing to the Hornets than Dragic to the Heat, because of Chinese.
the POINT is that, we should have kept JL for a much lower contract while making contribution to the roster. Look at the performance of all our guards this season, no body stands out, really NO BODY. every time when i look at the box, our guards shoots 1 of out 7, 8, POOR! We can keep Jeremy for a contract costing us around 5 million a year.
Neither Lin nor Dragic move the needle. Whether we have them or not... Who cares? Their relative value production vs contract is interesting but this thread should be in the Dish not GARM.
