Started the season 15-0, the best start ever, not counting the pre-jump shot days, went up to 22-1, and than rolled through the West. A spot of trouble in Phoenix, but the lowly Eddie Sefko named us Choke City and lit just the right fire under the franchise's butt to get us into the finals. Once we got there, it was the Kinicks horrendous style that made the series so "ugly". It is a joke when anybody says anything to belittle the Rocket's accomplishments that year. Nobody ever brings up that Isaiah got one of his rings agains the Lakers with Magic and Byron Scott on the bench due to injury, but EVERYBODY always mentions the fact that Jordan was not in the league in 94. No team has ever fought as hard as the 94 champs did, and Dream would have made sure that we would have held our own with ANY team from ANY era.

Quite obviously, Jordan was AFRAID and knew that if he sat out Hakeem's peak year, he would not be exposed as the inferior player that he was. THat is the untold story of his retirement, concealed by syncophants and jackasses like Ahmad Rashad and Michael Wilbon.

The 93/94/95 Dream was just as good as MJ ever was imo. MJ's prime just lasted much longer. Would have been a nice series. But theres no way the 94 champs are the best team ever.cmon

Regarding the 95 season Jordan was back he just met his match in Shaq. He scored 55 in a game I dont wanna hear that he wasnt back he needed more help so they accuired Rodman co. The only two centers that MJ ever came accross were Shaq and Ewing. Shaq beat him fair and square. Ewing always got the knicks close. We all know Dream was better than both of them, Mj MAY have met his match in Dream. Well never know

We really need our rockets to get back to the playoffs so we wont have to discuss news from almost a decade ago to keep ourselves entertained. :p

I agree, No one mentions the Lakers last 3peat as only possible because Jordan retired. Think about it theirs depended more on Jordan not playing than anyones. If he didn't retire then they would have kept Pippen and Rodman right. With his retirement they got his coach. The fact is Jordan didn't get to the finals so it should be assumed he would. We never know thats why we play the game.

    Can you say hot_pot8o?

You're absolutely right though, we would have smoked the Bulls back then with or without air.

    Rockets, Best NBA Champs? Yes

Jordan may have been back, but you don't leave the game for 18 months without some adverse effects on your game and team chemistry.
regardless, 1994 and 1995 rockets vs bulls would have been great. IMO, flip a coin.

but at the same time, the rockets went through many injuries during the year (hakeem was out a few games, others were too). plus they added drexler mid-year. so all these things had similar affects on the rockets game and to their team chemistry
