No matter how stubborn Uncle Bob is, even he can't ignore what his team has become. Kubiak will be fired, probably not tomorrow (sadly), but at the end of the season. That will mean a new front office, new coaching staff, new system, and new QB. Since we already have a "which QB should we draft thread", I thought a discussion on who McNair should hire next would be appropriate.

Bill Cowher, Nick Saban should be options.

It's Bob; won't believe it until I actually see it or until it happens.

If it happens, hope he doesn't forget about Rick Smith. A total house cleaning.

Just a hunch, but I don't think Uncle Bob will want to spend big money on a big name coach. I'd be surprised if he hired a rising star from college or a guy who's doing commentary and waiting for a desperate owner to overpay him. A safer bet would be an established coordinator who's respected, ambitious, and in no position to make as many demands.

David Shaw has done a good job at Stanford. I'd like to see them grab someone from the college ranks.

    it'll happen this time.

I like Gruden, but he's been knocked for not being honest to players and losing his locker room. Not sure what to think.

No way I want the same system with Shanahan. Pass on Lovie too.

Has Smith done anything to warrant being fired? He's put together a good team. Results are on the coaches.

Sumlin would be a good get if he wants to leave aggy. We could even draft his uber-douche, but uber-talented QB.

This draft class outside of Hopkins has been abysmal. 4 of the 1st 6 picks are doubtful to ever have an impact on a NFL game.

Then we'll most likely be stuck in mediocrity for a while :(

I'd like to believe you, ha, but why will it happen? Why are we so sure?

I'm personally not a fan. I think he's terribly overrated by many. An okay I guess, but not great drafter(even if it's solely not all on him--yes, great in the first round), poor cap management, and oh yeah, I believe he was hired by Gary.

(Maybe jokingly, maybe not--)Hell, you have people wanting Smith fired for the Ed Reed situation alone.

None of them were deemed an injury risk. This draft is just a poor example.
