No, but it's better to be prepared and have him not come than to not be prepared at all. We've been swinging for the big fish every year, but even when we strike out we still get better. Why stop now?
If they don't advance past the 1st round this season I could see him deciding between the Rockets and Wizards. There's no reason to get your hopes up or care about the possibility right now but it's definitely there.
Good point there. We did right by Chandler Parsons (and paid the consequences for doing so) and Brewer as well. I'd think that for all the "player = asset" talk that we hear swirling around Morey, if he makes a deal with a player and his representation, he appears to have a solid track record of following through, and as we've seen from the DeAndre Jordan situation, the NBA has an Old West mentality when it comes to giving your word.
I sure like it but the Rockets could evoke the sentiment of becoming a home for lunatics and substance abusers.... You gotta unearth your talent wherever they might be.
I was scared that either TJones or DMo was going to be in the trade. We just stole him for practically nothing. I love the trade. I would rather have a high second round pick over a late first rounder any day anyway. We just got a lot better.
KD is Jay Z's client. Who is married to Beyoncé. Beyoncé is from Houston. KD to Houston! itshappening.gif
I agree, Denver knows the whole story. Eddie Griffin & Royce Wight come to mind. Good news is we didn't give up much.
I see Lawson has been added to the team roster but I also still see Josh Smith there. Maybe they'll remove him once he signs his contract in LA.
I honestly think he's just making stupid decisions when he's going out. I really don't believe he's alcoholic who can't function without the sauce.
Yeah, generally for every time a guy’s caught drunk driving, he was probably not caught many more times he drove drunk. So Lawson clearly has an issue with drinking and driving. I doubt he’ll ever fully stop this behavior, especially since he is a multimillionaire, but hopefully being in a better situation will help him curtail this behavior now that he has more to lose. If nothing else, I like that the Rockets are probably going to get a motivated Lawson.
Giving up $13mil guaranteed money to be in a better position, WOW! Lawson is all about winning, not like Melo or Bosh. I am already a fan of Ty Lawson!
