Do NOT keep the relationship; cheating on purpose and planning it all along is a pretty low thing to do. (Agreed - what's with all the cheating lately - no excuse for it, and it's not a good way to transition from one relationship into another, nor to solve your problems or meet your "needs".)

See if you can get your money back from the vacation plans; then use your time off to take a different vacation (some other destination) with a different person. Sorry, a little too soon to rebound, but find a good buddy or family member to do something cool with. Or just by yourself if that's how you roll.

It may not feel like it right now, but you _are_ young and will bounce back from this. Be glad you weren't married.

Good words but I think he should keep his place but move all of the furniture around and change some stuff up. I would definitely move the bed into another position. Then he needs to start bringing his new lady friends over and make some new memories. After my last ex moved out I rearranged all of the furniture and it really helped.

It seems like nowadays cheating is more common since it is much easier to do via social media. You can literally text people on snapchat and have the message disappear. There are apps made just for hooking up now. People get bored and flirt online first due to issues within themselves in their own relationship, but then the flirting ends up heating up to actual meeting.

Back in the day when there were no texting or facebook, you had to physically call someone at their house to make contact. Either that or actually see them in person.

teens and 20's - cheating extremely common
30's and 40's - cheating pretty rare
50's and beyond - cheating almost non-existent (aside from select trailer parks)

If you don't mind me asking, do you mind sharing what race or ethnicity your girlfriend is? I have always been curious to see if cheating is more prevalent in certain cultures or races. I have a feeling it is much more prevalent in white girls.
