We're talking about a Rick Carlisle team, right? If they get Matthews and Jordan, they'll make the playoffs. And if the Rockets end up matched up with them, we're talking about 7 games of Harden getting D'd up by Matthews on the perimeter and Jordan protecting the paint. Considering how much Harden struggled against Matthews in the playoffs two seasons ago and Jordan in the playoffs this past season, it would be quite a struggle for him this time around.
You're talking about a Matthews that had healthy achilles. If history is an indicator, Wes' productivity won't be the same ever again. Harden will blow past him.
Best case is Matthews to Sac, Jordan to Dal. Then Mavs will probably throw a ridiculous offer sheet at Beverley but who cares, let him walk and go find a PG in the trade market.
what does that have to do with anything? People thought he could fix Rondo and look what happened. Dallas right now is looking terrible, adding those is not going to make them a playoff team in the West.

I definitely hope you're right. But I also hope that somehow DeAndre chooses the Knicks and Matthews chooses the Kings. That would make for quite a hilarious offseason for the Mavs.
That's the beauty of it--you don't have to hope. Matthews might still be a good shooter but whatever quickness and athleticism he had prior to the injury will only be a fraction of what it was after the injury. If Kobe was in tears because he found out his Achilles popped and could have ended his career then I have no worries Matthews guarding Harden. Jordan can go to the Mavericks and become their new version of Erick Dampier. He's useless on the offensive end without anyone running the PnR and lobbing passes to him.
As much as I would hate losing Bev, I know that would be as good of a situation for him possible, so would be happy for him.
