I agree. If he does in fact pan out, then Morey would would have a lot more flexibility to part with those you mentioned in a trade, especially the bigs. All of them have promise. If they show it in exhibition or d-league or summer league, they become the "potential" part of the package. Jones, DMo, Ariza are the proven contributors, then there are the future picks. We have way too many 4s and too many 3s (assuming we intend on re-signing our FAs) to not make the assumption those positions are what we are primarily offering in trade talks.

if his tweet is serious and he's not a bull****ter then this will be an awesome pickup because he has all the tools. get him on an nba strength program and go from there.

I can see Capela and Wood doing really well as a second unit for us. Especially on defense...

No chit. Wood's game looks similar to LMA. Good catch.

I agree. And here's the best part:

It seems that Daryl Morrisey has finally learned to wait until AFTER the draft to take a flyer on possible headcases and guys with "issues." That Royce White ordeal seems to have changed DM's approach permanently.

Fair comparison. Let's hope Wood's basketball instincts and IQ are better than Randolph's.

Like the Anthony Randolph comparisons. i'll throw out Antetokounmpo as his ball handling skills and jump shot look like they could be legit someday.

Don't know anything about the guy beyond what I have read on this thread. I think he is on the wrong team. He needs to be on a bad team with room at the end of the roster. I don't think we are in the position to let him develop for a year or two as our 15th man, but if Morey shakes up the roster, maybe so .....

He has D-league written all over him for now. We should look for him to join the team next season because he'll be in the valley until then..

The grizzlies traded to get Jones. Don't think they'll be willing to give him up that easily

If they wanted jones so bad then they could have drafted him instead of dekker. What's a rookie PG gonna do with this current team anyhow

Morey is building a tidal dam of long athletic forwards that play defense to stop the splash brothers. Everyone perimeter shooter will get a huge hand in the face, blocked, or funneled into Dwight Howard. I like it.

Physically he got the traits along with a nice stroke. But watching his videos, he looks like he doesn't know how to play basketball, a little awkward.

Guy needs tons of coaching and minutes.

Morey is very good at finding the 2nd round/undrafted player that develops into something and then goes somewhere else.

What do Ben Wallace, John Starks and Avery Johnson have in common?
