Wrong. He's still in his prime. Put him on the Jazz or Pels next season and they'll be pushing us for playoff ceding.
I'm not so sure. I think as people have pointed out earlier that even Josh Smith was thought to be done. While I understand that he doesn't shoot three's something needed on the Rockets I think with the rest for the summer and the prospect of playing with his friends here in Houston, he might return looking like the Rondo we all admired once or something close to it.
Could we maybe, just maybe, add a starting quality point guard that hits his freakin' free throws? Please?
No no no thanks. I've changed my tune on him since he played for Dallas. Lost all respect for him and the way he played whilst at Dallas. (Although couldn't happen to a better team LOL).
If you took Rondo's attitude and ego out of the equation then he would be a fine addition, at the right price, but when considering those things, I would be vehemently against adding him. I think it would end up just like it did with the Mavs.
The good thing about Rondo That's he doesn't shoot and he knows it so he wouldn't shoot. Tired of seeing 3s going off the rim
Somebody shoot this thread and put it out of its misery. If only Rondo had waited another game to check out on Dallas in the playoffs. Then we would've had a sweep. So some of you want the same guy to do to our team what he did to theirs? G.d. offseason.
Didn't he just have the worst season of his career? Hasn't his career been in decline for several years now? I'm not sure where you're getting he's in his prime Jopat? Care to elaborate?
Every time this thread pops up I throw up in my mouth a little bit. The only worse fit for our team than Rondo is Rubio. A defunct type of PG, like the slow C and the PF who can't hit a J. The NBA is changing and we are changing with it. The league is now flooded with coaches who know how to abuse an opponent that can't shoot. At least I have faith that Rubio will improve his 3pt shot. Rondo is done though, unless he finds himself on another team with 3 offensive superstars to feed.
Ahhh, C'mon now!... "I see" said the Salamander. No, No ....I'm back to just being the poster I always was.
Rondo will never be the player he once was. But he can still be a good starting PG in the league. The Pels would be a spot where he would fit in well. They dont really have a playmaker who demands the ball on the perimeter which is good for Rondo because he is 100% useless off the ball. Getting AD and reeke open looks would be his only job. For houston you couldn't find a worse fit than Rondo
This thread has no agenda for or against Rajon Rondo I was ideally hoping for a YouTube clip of the recorded segment. With that said, having Rondo come to Houston and succeed would be yet another delightful stick in the side of Cuban. You are a fool if you think Morey wouldn't sign Rondo if he came at the right price, he just likely won't come at that price.
