Motiejunas was damn skilled for a big being 17yo already and Gudaitis only now adds some of the skills. Gudaitis (contrary than young D-Mo) always was big on the boards, aggressive rebounder and damn physical. They more like very different players, and quick feet are not enough to say he has D-mo in him, IMO :)

JV was so well moving 7 footer till Raptors made him pretty slow. And now they are complaining that he can't rotate to 3 point line in the defence :) Raptors is such a funny organisation. Complete mess

Gudaitis isn't no-one in Lithuania. People love him and value him. It's just that he's not at the same level as prospect as JV and D- Mo was. Besides, now there's also Domantas Sabonis who will be a damn good PF and will be drafted high in the future. So Lithuanians love Gudaitis, it's just that he's sort of a 4th big in terms of the talent in Lithuania. Lithuania BTW will have a crazy fronline with JV, D-Mo, Gudaitis and Sabonis. There will be some tournaments when this frontline will give some hard time even for USA fronline, IMO.

He would be a good option to have on the bench. We don't have anyone who plays like him. He could end up surprising people and become good enough to start somewhere. Good touch, mobile, and moves his weight around well. Can't teach that. Most of his weaknesses can be strengthened with experience and good coaching/habits. As much as I like Dmo, i'm not as high on him now that he's had back surgery and still has trouble being physical.

Gudaitis been very injury prone, thats why he went under the radar and wasnt scouted much prior to this season. Also another problem with him is his basketball IQ. He often takes wild shots, tries to take his man of the dribble just to fumble the ball, makes bad passes, etc.

Gudaitis just had an unplanned workout for the Spurs.

That probably means Spurs are evaluating him as an option for their #26 pick.

no way they gonna draft him at #26. More like hoping nobody drafts him and maybe draft him themself at #55.

It seems to me more and more that Gudaitis will be a stash pick, so very likely not a first rounder. Unless some top team without cap room takes him just so they wouldn't have to pay anyone.
