Face it, folks, the Clippers are just better at NBA than the Rockets are

Having a supporting cast full of VETERAN players is starting to "payoff"....it'll be interesting to see if the playoff experience will be a key factor once again against a Warrior team that lacks the same playoff experience going deep in the playoffs like the Clippers as it turned out to be a big asset during crunch time.

Carl is a clever poster, but his anti morey agenda has so badly overtaken his mind that it has wrecked his posting ability.

It's not even that he is critical of morey that is the problem, heck, Ive been critical too! He can't see past that hate though; it clouds everything he does here now.

 

In fairness, the Clippers may very well be the more talented team.

But we won. They lost. You can debate which team is actually better, but sometimes the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

 

Carl shows up all the time, so I don't see how that argument applies here. Most folks were blaming McHale for everything, yet that's somehow better than saying the Clippers have a better roster?

 

They may be. But their stars were all completely exhaused in the 4th quarter of game 6, and damn near throughout game 7. Much the same as the Yao teams that lost to Utah -- they just didn't have the energy they needed to win. That's been a recurring weakness for LA that they were able to overcome against the Spurs, but it caught up to them when the Rockets played with full energy. Call that luck, call it talent, call it coaching or team-building. Call it whatever you want. But it wins you series.

I've always disagreed with the premise that the Clippers were the better team. I've always said that they have been playing better in the playoffs, but the Rockets have been ultra focused for the most part since game 5. Thank goodness they woke up. When focused, the Rockets can compete with anyone in the NBA.

 

Cheke is not a Rockets fan.

 

That will be key going deeper in the playoffs, having players that have been through the playoffs and won. The vets will not fold under the pressure.

We just came back from 3-1 to win the conference semifinals. We're about to face the Warriors. If you'd rather spend today ragging on another Rockets fan for a thread you didn't like, or policing the loyalty of others, instead of celebrating what our team has accomplished, talking about the series ahead, or even aiming your trash talk at our next opponent, I'd advise you to maintain a prudent silence until you acquire the maturity to get your priorities straight.
