Lets all agree that Terry CAN NOT guard Curry, we are most likely going to put Ariza on Curry, which leaves Harden on either Thompson/Barnes. You see the problem, one of them is going to have a field day posting up Terry, and they are about equally good in the post (edge to Thompson). My solution is this problem is to start a big line up with Harden, Jones, Ariza, Smith and Howard. We will match their switchability with our swithchability. Although our switchability is inferior compared to theirs, but i believe this is the best way. Starting Brewer would not work because he is a stick. On offense we would crash the offensive board and pound them down low. What y'all think?
Camp the three point line, funnel everything into Howard. He has to stay out of foul trouble. If they beat us with 2's so be it.
True, Klay needs to be stopped, but we also need someone to slow down Curry. I would put Ariza on Klay, Harden on Barnes, and Brewer on Curry. Terry and Prigioni can come off the bench. Switching Ariza to Curry, and putting Brewer on Klay can work too.
Harden will have to pick up his defense [or defensive effort]. Sorry, there is no one to hide you on.
Exactly, if this would've been against the Warriors, that lead of ours would've been over quick, fast and in a hurry the way the team and Harden in particular played defense. The Warriors are the quickest I've ever seen in putting up 8-10 points within 30 seconds or so.
Rockets HAVE to switch everything. It's the only way to even have a shot at stopping them with all of that screening they do. The most important thing is to play with intensity. Run at the shooters. Contest every three they shoot. If you can run them off the three point line, even better. The good thing is, I'm not afraid to have Capela in there at all this series. So Dwight can be aggressive on defense... He's got backup.
Kevin just took a team that the national commentators or so called experts picked to barely make the play-offs and he has coached them to the Western Conference Finals. Thanks for your concern but I think I would prefer Kevin McHale coach the Rockets without any advice from you.
True. Similar to what OKC did to us in the first round a couple years back. They let Harden go to work, allowing him to put up 30+ points in three out of six games. However, they shut everybody else down so well that it proved one player cannot win a playoff series on his own. This is what we need to do to Steph. Shut down Klay, Harrison and Draymond and force Steph to create for himself, with Ariza on him.

JET on Curry. Ariza on Thompson. That's the only proper way to do it honestly. Say what you want, but I thought JET actually did a very good job on defense. He forced Paul into some tough shots.
