ClutchFans Game Thread: Clippers @ Rockets 5/17/2015 (Playoffs Round 2, Game 7)

Anyone but...

 

We played a game 6 against LA after Yao went down and our crowd was insane. That's what we need tomorrow. Can't wait for this game.

 

We need to find out where Clippers are staying (4Seasons Downtown?) and go facking nuts tonight in the hotel!!!

I love the Rockets and so desperately want them to win. But after watching the Warriors-Grizzlies game last night it just seemed like the refs were making terrible calls in favor of the Grizzlies. It seemed like the refs and the N.B.A. were trying real hard to push for a game 7. The Warriors overcame the forces set against them to win.

That being said I wonder if the Rockets will be able to overcome the above mentioned problems. If you were the N.B.A. brass then which western conference finals match up sounds better to you? The runner up m.v.p. candidate against the m.v.p. winner along with a team that the Warriors swept handily in the regular season?

Or a team that even though they lost to the Warriors all but one game in the regular season. The two teams have such a heated rivalry it will make for a interesting series if it turns ugly?

I hope this post doesn't come across like I am a debbie downer. I definately want the Rockets to win but also feel like the N.B.A. refs are "persuaded" whether by direct or subliminal messages as to which way the games should go.I just hope the Rockets have the firepower to overcome anything thrown their way.


Blast off Rockets and win this game...momentum and confidence for the WCF and then win it all. Someone posted somewhere in another thread how eerily this playoffs are to the 95 playoffs and how Robinson was given the N.B.A. mvp trophy in front of Olajuwon. Please let that happen again with Curry and Harden

I hate to be a moral win kind of guy, but I actually won't be too devastated if we lose tomorrow. My goal for this team all year was to maybe get to the WCF or at least get to the second round and play a very competitive second round series. I was so dissapointed in the early part of this series, because it looked we didn't belong in the same universe as the Clippers, but I've been so pleased that we didn't fold up and now we're at game 7!

 

I'm hoping the Rockets can pull this out, you're hell of a lot easier then the Clippers for the Warriors to beat. I mean the amount of times the Rockets and the fake MVP just flat out quit multiple times makes me giddy.

Rockets have the outside shooters Memphis does not. Rockets have the inside post players that GS does not. Rockets have the nuts that GS does not.

Maybe, but keep in mind the Warriors never had to face a healthy Dwight Howard this season, never mind Playoff Dwight Howard.

 

You call the Rockets quitters, yet here they are still playing. The Rockets have flaws just like most teams, but I support them, win or lose. be careful what you wish for, if the Rockets can beat the Clippers tomorrow, it means they are tough and resilient. The Clippers may be tough on paper, but the best team on paper doesn't always win.

I always wonder what the team is doing right now, I feel Like I'd be bouncing off the walls all night. I'm sure they are done practicing etc. But man, try to watch Mad Max or something, relax a bit. Or not?

This. The four GS wins should be thrown out simply because they happened so early in the season... Not saying GS shouldn't be favored to win, but the regular season isn't as significant of an indicator one might think. And oh yeah, win game 7 first!!!
