Make D Andre Jordan work and get in foul trouble.

With all this Rivers talk, Jordan was +36 last game

That seems so easy to say, but how come it becomes hard to actually do that during the game?

Dwight was looking good in the first half.

    Reddick / Crawford / Paul

    vs

    Terry / Harden / Ariza

in a 3 point contest, don't like that outcome.

Spurs series was competitive and went down to the last shot because Tim Duncan was giving it to DeAndre every night.

Might as well, Howard can get DJ in foul trouble, but the problem is Clippers start to crash in when DJ picks up fouls so youre gonna end up shooting a 3 anyway

What on earth happened to Dwight after the first quarter when he was killing it with his post moves?!? Why didn't he get more attempts in the first half? Then apparently he went cold in the second half down low....

Is this even a question? Dwight is terrible in the low post. Next.

    Is this even serious?

In the first 2 games of this series, DH averaged 71% from the "field." He looks more poised and confident than he has in quite a long time. Yeah, DeAndre is getting some blocks in, but that's what happens when an aggressive center matches with a pretty stalwart defender.

Oh, and Howard had 5 blocks himself in game 1, 4 in game 2.

Feed the big man. Especially if Harden is going to check out mentally. He's no Dream, but neither was Shaq. Power, length and a couple pivots can get you mucho points in today's league.

How many of those shot attempts were dunks? Look beyond the stats.

As you'd expect, Dwight is shooting 32% on post ups, and is one of the worst post up players in the playoffs. Of course, he also can't pass out of the post. Might as well shoot more 3's.

After 3 games the series between Spurs and LAC was very similar in results to this one series.

    2-1 SA

San Antonio took HCA and blew out the Clippers in the first game Home with a decisive 11-24 3rd Quarter. And the media was already talking about the Spurs Warriors WCF.

If you think Houston offense was bad the 3rd game, well the Clippers did a 34 FG% with a 26 3PT% with an anemic 73 point and allow the Spurs to shoot 52FG% and 40 3PT%

    We know what happen next

This rockets team is not predictable and they never do anything that appears to be easy.

last game we were looking pretty good down low. deandre went absent for once, and it seemed like dwight caught a good rythym. smith even made some decent post plays. when our shots stop falling we need to go to the post.

More low post, more Harden/Brewer/Ariza/Smith attacking, less threes, more Patrick Bev, less Jason Terry

    Right on cue:

    http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2015/05/09/harden-looks-to-be-more-aggressive/?ls=nbahpsplit2

    [rquoter]
“I take control when I need to and I’m a playmaker when I need to be as well,” Harden said. “The aggressive factor will take of all of that in the sense of just going out there and being a beast basically.”

Harden has taken 13, 17 and 16 shots in the first three games, after averaging 18.1 attempts during the regular season.

This comes as the Rockets have made generating more shots for Dwight Howard a priority Sunday, after Howard said after the Game 3 loss that “We have to do a better job of attacking the basket. When you (are shooting) all threes, it’s just easy run-outs for (the Clippers). There is no easy opportunity to crash the boards. It just puts us in a bad position….”
    Translation: Howard wants touches.

“Yeah, he does” need more shots, coach Kevin McHale said. “We need to get him the ball more and do a better job of feeding him and do a better job of giving him space.”

The Rockets spent time on that point during practice Saturday, a day after Howard managed just 11 attempts. The big message from McHale, though, was the Rockets’ energy, or lack thereof, in Game 3.

This is reaching epicly comical levels. Kevin McHale and energy are the new Gary kubiak and battlefightin. Energy isn't the problem brah. The lack of discipline and emphasis on execution are.

How about attack the basket with authority and either finish strong or get fouled.

Exactly. Even more lost low post points, and don't den try 3s. That's how we lost all the 3rd quarters. No wait, Jet made two 3s, but that was it, and then we were 20 behind, while Reddick and Rivers were sharpshooting their 3s. Awesome experts.

    Our post didn't work!

We have no one with a high efficiency back to the basket game. We only score 28% of the time that D12 posts up. Compare that to Blake Griffin who has improved his jumper. Yet Dwight and Josh are still the same AAU pros they were 10 years ago. Sad but true.
