Who is the #1 free agent target? Is there any way LMA is realistic a possibility? TJ is just one of many garbage players on this team.

let's find a new coach first. if we stay with him next season, doesnt matter which star we get, we still going lose in the playoff. im just so sick of Mchale. this guy obviously can't coach for ****.

Guys we just watched the Rockets get their asses kicked because Harden got shut down from his facilitator role.

D-Mo can handle the post option department. We need a secondary playmaker.

Could care less if Brew. Smith or Jones don't come back.

Find a coach should be #1
    Find Harden a heart #2
    Find 3 point shooters #3

Why do we need an official offseason thread when this is about to turn into an offseason board?

**** trying to go after stars who have Houston at the bottom of the list.

Get some shooters and people who put the rock on the floor.

    Steps to a successful Offseason

    1. Fire Mchale instantly get a new coach in here pronto

    2. Trade for lawson....use jones, NOP pick ,pap, gentile ( have to keep DMO)

    3. Let Brewer walk, he's over rated defensively , is always out of control, and depends on transition, hell be too expensive to resign

    4. Use some of MLE toResign josh, as bad as he's been he's only been with us for 4 1/2 months and at his price its a bargain to see what he can bring with a little continuity (also keep dwight happy cuz he might bolt with how we been playing in the playoffs)

    5. Use rest of MLE to bring back KJ as our new backup SF

    6. Resign Bev to be backup PG

    Lawson/Beverly
    Harden/Beverly
    Ariza/KJ
    Dmo/Josh
    Dwight/Capela

That team is good enough to win a title with a good coach

What this Clippers series has shown us is:

    1. The regular season defense (e.g. gambling for steals) doesn't work in the playoffs. You have to make the other team take tough shots, not put your teammates in difficult rotations all game.
    2. Some players are not playoff players (e.g. Brewer and Smith). They succeed in the regular season but their weaknesses (e.g. shooting) get exposed by sophisticated defense.
    3. D-Mo and Beverley mean so much to this team, more than we realised. In the playoffs you need fundamentally sound defenders + players with heart and grit (look at the Griz).
    4. A 2nd player that can take over a game by themselves is needed. Once a team locks down your best player, you will need someone else who can create offense for themselves and others. Can you imagine Dragic on this team coming off the bench? Putting the Clips defense on their heels? Someone who is dynamic and makes the defense work all game long.
    5. You can't play stand around basketball. There is no 1 on 1 winning in the playoffs. It takes a team effort to win. Look at the Clips contributors outside of Blake and CP3 - Rivers, Reddick, Jordan, even Big Baby.

    If I'm D-Morey, here's my offseason checklist.
    1) Swing again for the fences. (#1a & 1b targets are Love and Aldridge. #2a & 2b is Lawson and Dragic)
    2) Get the hacking rule changed to remove Dwight's weakness
    3) Find a 2ndary playmaker.
    4) Bring back McDaniels & develop his 3 point shot. He could be a good backup 2/3 or even 1
    5) Bring back Smith and Brewer only on cheap deals (don't lose flexibility to bring them back)
    6) GET THE TEAM HEALTHY.

If this is the brand of basketball Daryl Morey wants then he needs to go.

    1) Fire McHale.
    2) Go all out & I mean all out for Aldridge.
    3) Plan B, get a point that can shoot & defend. Get shooters.

Honestly, if we can flip Dwight for a good package I'd think about it. I'm not sure that Dwight and Harden really fit that well together. Dwight's lack of an offensive game sure hurts.

If Aldridge had to choose between the Rockets with McHale or the Spurs with Popovich, I wonder which team would he choose.
