How anyone does after hearing him yell Man on Man last year was just reaching for false hope......we switch when were supposed to fight under screens, and we played man on man in a situation where it had to be switched..... -No game Management - His subs are memorized not reactions -His rotations suck -His intensity is invisible -His teams discipline is no where to be found -His teams fight back is zero If Mchale is coach next year enjoy the regular season but don't watch the playoffs unless we are in a situation like this year, which is doubtful cuz the west is too good
It would be awesome if the Rockets fired McHale tomorrow and let the team play without a coach for game 5. Hell, they have been playing the entire second round without one. What's one more game?
Le$ has always been about the money - don't ever listen to what he and Morey say, watch how they spend - it is always about the money. DD
Doug Collins was hardens mentor in college. Can we hire as a assistant or something? He was the guy that told james he needs to be more aggressive. Now he's back to being passive and mchale can't get him inspired to play at all.
At this point I wouldn't be opposed to firing the McHale/Morey duo. The brand of basketball is a reflection on both the coach and gm. If this is what Moreyball is going to be then we need to try something else. Bring in Pop disciples.
Kevin McHale in the huddle: "Guys we're losing! We need to play harder!!!" Rocket's player: "Coach what sets do we run?" Mchale: "We need to run the sets we've been running!" "Coach were down 20!" "We just need to play HARDER!"
LMAO at Les on McFail's extension: "We wanted to lock him up before anyone else tried to take him away from here."
I was not enthralled when Mcfail was hired. But the plan was to have him manage the players and have the assistants run the offense and defense in a manner similar to football. I thought was an interesting idea and it was worth a try. We have tried this experiment. We need to go out and get a solid head coach as well as assistant coaches.
why won't people just admit mchale is not qualified to coach a championship team? he was brought here to take over a rebuilding rockets team, got gifted harden then dwight and the expectations changed. now the exceptions are way to high for him. just take him to the back of the shed and put him out of his misery.
I want to know if Les really feels that this product that is being put out in the second round is really something that can be supported by fans.
Fully agree, what was the previous owner's name? The guy that got us into 4 finals and won two of them?
The problem is getting that through Les' thick skull. When you have an owner who's content with just making the playoffs and winning 50+ games every year, McHale looks like a great fit. If your goal is to win championships, of course you don't want him coaching your team. But unfortunately we're saddled with the former.
