The better question is, who isn't going hard after KD? Mychal Thompson with dumbest throwaway line of 2015.
Pretty much. Every team that doesn't have Lebron James at SF is going to go hard after Durant. No surprise there.
I hope he goes to DC why does everyone want to follow Miami's big three direction for a chip? that's weak build the team we got. that says a lot more about the organization
I suppose everyone can go after Durant in 2016 given that the cap is set to skyrocket. But the Warriors have enough to worry about with their own players. Green's gonna get a huge deal from someone which Golden State will be forced to match. Thompson's new deal kicks in next season. And then in 2017, they have to have a buttload of money left over to resign Curry.
A Playoff Trick: Will the Wizards’ Postseason Success Make Washington More Appealing to Kevin Durant? <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Tues column: DC Rising: The exciting present and uncertain future of the Washington Wizards: <a href="http://t.co/Wfqad9JmD4">http://t.co/Wfqad9JmD4</a></p>— Zach Lowe (@ZachLowe_NBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/ZachLowe_NBA/status/598107818676334592">May 12, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Durant with the Wizards would be awesome! A core of Wall, Beal & Durant is legit. He's not pondering us, you can take that off your wish list. A core of Harden, Durant & Howard would not win a championship anyway.
First, one of Durant's associates in South Florida has been telling me for months that if Durant leaves the Thunder it would be to return home to Washington. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...-heat-ask-ira-kevin-durant-s060315-story.html
The talent needs to shift to the EAST. It's up for the taking. Yes, LBJ owns it right now but it can be taken. Durant on the Wizards would instantly make a Wizards/Cavs ECF amazing. Bigger question is when the WC will shift its power to the East...
Love Durants game when he is healthy; who doesnt? I dont see him coming to Houston unless we trade away Dwight. I also dont see why he wouldnt consider us. One of his best friends plays on the team and we are so close to a championship, we can taste it.
Ha ha, yeah for approximately November of 2013 he was on that level. Then he regressed back to his regular level for the rest of the season which was good for about Al Jefferson level, if MVP voting is to be believed. Then he blew up his knee. He might be on the KD level if his foot injury goes chronic which ironically (what?) would put him on Rudy Gay's llevel.
You really think wall/beal/durant is better than harden/Howard/durant? Wow they didn't even win 50 games in the east. Harden led a team by himself for half the year to the 3rd best record in the entire league. Harden and durant would be lethal and adding dwights rebounding and defense would be down right illegal if you ask me.
The best part of KD going to Washington wouldn't be that he'd be in the East, it be the possibility of OKC breaking it up and Ibaka becoming available. Ibaka would be the perfect PF. He can play defense both positionally and as a rim protector, and slide to the 5 when needed. Plus, he can hit mid range shots, so he wouldn't ruin spacing. Imagine how much of a defensive juggernaut we'd be with Ariza on the wings, and Howard and Ibaka locking down the paint.
Yeah, no kidding. Harden, Howard and anyone in the league would be better than Harden, Howard, Durant. Yuck, like gag me with a spoon. Harden and Howard haven't won MVPs. Everyone knows you need 3 MVPs to win anything.
It would take ... PG13 coming back to full form, KD to Washington, Parker/Bucks becoming a fore, lowry/Raptors improving, and Wade/Bosh/Dragic making noise with the Heat, while nobody in the west improves, for the East vs West thing to even start to become an argument. West is just too damned stacked. We need KD to Washington to happen (if KD to Houston doesn't).
