Signed. I am really disappointed in the Rockets as an organization today. Take the tweet down, apologize and move on. Firing him keeps it a story and creates a distraction just compounding your PR problem.
Yeah, this much is obvious. Guy was running one of the best official team account in sports (and won awards for it). Consistently funny and timely, provided great game updates and info, and the witty banter he had with other really good accounts like the Blazers and Hawks was always awesome. That one tweet that was only offensive to some and that the vast majority found hilarious (which he apologized for anyway) was not sufficient grounds for being fired after all the great work he'd done. Hell, the firing has been a bigger PR disaster for the Rockets with their fans than that tweet ever was. Petition signed.
signed, i feel awful for the guy man, this is just gut wrenching for someone to lose a job over this ****ing ****
The vast majority finding it hilarious is a real tragedy here. You know, back in some time through history, the vast majority found other things hilarious too which are condemned today. Need examples?
I'm sure Les was devastated when he walked into his office to find an actual horse had been executed. For that reason, he deserved to be fired.
Signed. #s 1853, 1863, 1869 iirc (I use 3 emails very frequently). So... what happens when (not if) it passes 2500?
Saw this in the comments on the Rockets FB post about second round schedule. Clicked and signed from there.
Signed. Probably need to petition the NBA, since this likely was due to an edict from on high driving by Cuban being butt-hurt and whining to the league office.
