So we are gonna ignore the riot thats happening in Baltimore

I'm not sure what Jesus accomplished... Guess I have to wait and see.
By the looks of things MLK didn't accomplish much. Integration instead of liberation hasn't been going to well.
And I don't pay much attention to India to know the situation there.

I've spent a lot of time in Baltimore City over the past two years, and I can honestly say that I've never witnessed as much despair in any other American city as I have in Baltimore. Even walking around downtown, two blocks in any direction from the Inner Harbor, the vibe you get there is just really seedy and depressing. It's also strange to see such a large American city where almost everybody in even the downtown area is either black or white. There is very little other.

Anyway, this is what David Simon (creator of The Wire) has to say about the riots:

First things first.

Yes, there is a lot to be argued, debated, addressed. And this moment, as inevitable as it has sometimes seemed, can still, in the end, prove transformational, if not redemptive for our city. Changes are necessary and voices need to be heard. All of that is true and all of that is still possible, despite what is now loose in the streets.

But now — in this moment — the anger and the selfishness and the brutality of those claiming the right to violence in Freddie Gray’s name needs to cease. There was real power and potential in the peaceful protests that spoke in Mr. Gray’s name initially, and there was real unity at his homegoing today. But this, now, in the streets, is an affront to that man’s memory and a dimunition of the absolute moral lesson that underlies his unnecessary death.

If you can’t seek redress and demand reform without a brick in your hand, you risk losing this moment for all of us in Baltimore. Turn around. Go home. Please.

I have never seen so much passion and progress ever in my life, this is truly truly amazing. I'm sure through all of this their messages will be listened to and police brutality will be forever stopped.

 

happy to see my brothers and sistas united on something... these cops are out of control..

black on black violence has dropped by 70% since darren wilson got off... we are getting closer and closer to the brink.. I CAN FEEL IT

 

and yet i have no fired a shot a single white person, its cops coming into black neighborhoods unwelcomed starting ruckess.. african-americans out of all races are the least likely to dial 911 in america... so WHY ARE LAW ENFORNCEMENT THERE.. no crime is being commited
