I'll definitely check it out, I've backed 40+ Kickstarters at this point. Post it to: http://www.reddit.com/r/kickstarter http://www.reddit.com/r/crowdfunding http://www.reddit.com/r/Crowdfundedgames
Lol, you sound like me, I'm not going tonight, but I usually go with Spurs fans.... It's nice since not as far for me (in Austin), but car rides back sometimes are pretty funny, hopefully the Rockets play with energy Anyway game looks great, I'll back it for sure.
I don't back games as a rule because they are typically 2 years out, have done no work, sketchy creators etc. Descent will be out in months with Beta access out even sooner. Pretty excited to back this one. More of a preorder really.
Yeah, I don't back games much anymore after getting burned on like five projects. Strangely enough I usually back more big ticket items.
Great article about DaDakota on engadget. The man who left behind $78 million to revamp a classic space shooter Almost 500K Spoiler
Famous? Hardly. Keep spreading the word, I know I will be sporting a clutchfans logo on my ship, will you? If Clutch allows it of course, and his is free, but Will's is double. DD
How about easter eggs to put up screen text. "All your base are belong to Houston." or have Ctl-Alt-C (c for clutchfans) play audio to your opponents "Never underestimate the heart of a champion." or "Hollllllly Mother!"
Doubt it will run on my older system(s), and I'm currently looking for work so I have no business donating money, but I am watching to see if you make it. I truly hope you do. Best of luck.
I've backed it, and I'm glad I did. Hope you can meet the goal as you push forward to the finish line.
only $30K to go with 6 hours left. I'd think....even if they weren't going to make it at this point...the founders would kick in the balance rather than let it go unfunded. Fantastic job DD. For those of you who haven't followed DD's gaming industry travels, you're really missing out. And that's only the bits he's shared with us on here.
That is what usually happens with large Kickstarters... if they get as close as they are now, they'll get it as investors toss in the final chunks to get them over the finish line. They are over 95% there, so it is a no-brainer.
It didn't look like it was going well for a while there but I underestimated the flood towards the end. Really close now. I'm excited and congrats DD.
Dadakota: One thing that has amazed me in the video game industry is the emergence of highly successful and amazingly popular Youtubers and Streamers via platforms such as Twitch. (guys like The Creatures and the ever incessant PewDiePie). Do you roadmap plans to reach out to those communities to not only market your games, but gather feedback on how well it is received? It seems like Indie games can get a huge kick in the butt to success (or failure) from marketing to these groups (such as the success of Indie games like The Binding of Isaac, etc.)
