Enjoyed the hell out of this game. Took the 1.5 runs...knew I should have been a homer and bet the ML. ;)

time to trade dallas for some future picks. =)
I couldn't watch it had to hear on radio and the pitching performance was just as magical.
Really bugs me that outsiders who arrived to our glorious city after 2008 don't think this town loves beisbol. We are Beisbol, beaches! *

    *unless we lose 100 games.

Nice win. Always feels like a stolen win when facing a great pitching performance. Keuchel, Sipp, and Gregerson matched Kluber and then some.

Any chance Keuchel decides to change his first name?

Just refer to him as Kid Keuchy or Ace Keuchy or The One or The shiznizzle. Either one works.

Not 100% on topic... but I thought of this last night at the game. Anyone else think it's patriotic overkill to perform God Bless America during the 7th inning stretch after performing the National Anthem before the game?

I know the "new" tradition began after 9/11 and that's completely understandable, but I recall GBA only being played on Sundays/special occasions and not every single game.

    Great start to the season.

Unfortunately, this game didn't tell us much about this team. What I mean is, its unlikely the pitching will be this good, or the offense this bad on a regular basis.

Correct. Should have clarified - I wasn't complaining about it being performed at Opening Day. I meant to say it's overkill to perform during a random midweek game in the middle of June.

Really? I swear I went to games last year where they performed it randomly during the week. Could be mistaken of course.

I do know some ballparks perform it every single game/replaced Take Me Out to the Ballgame with it.

Where would that be? Not sure why any ballpark would replace take me out to the ballgame.

Even the Astros still play that, along with "deep in the heart" on games they have god bless america.

I believe Yankee stadium plays it every game, but I think they play take me out after it so it doesn't replace it.
