Undoubtedly so. A sub par game from Parker made no difference, and they came out with a comprehensive win.
The back to back we have against SA coming up are huge. We have to win at least one to stay ahead of them.
As a Spurs fan, in '95, I thought I wanted to play the (lower seeded) defending champs in the conference finals, rather than the Phoenix Suns. I got what I wanted. I know better now. Rockets fans DO NOT want to face the defending champion Spurs AFTER they have eliminated a 65+ win team. Trust me.
They have never won back to back. And they won't this year. This is the Spurs last gasp. They will come up short to the rockets or some other team with younger legs.
yeah well i saved it for when duncan is 39 years old in two weeks and ginobli is 38 this summer. i just do not see the spurs going to the finals 3 years in a row and winning it for a 2nd time. and i dont see them doing it when duncan is 40 and ginobli is 39 either.
FWIW, over the weekend, blowing out the Nuggets and the Warriors, the "Big 3" of Duncan, Ginobilli AND Parker totaled 45 points - for both games. That's 45/240 points the team scored.

if i were you i would go bet a ton of money on the spurs winning the western conference finals this year and see what happens.
