They both played pretty well though TBH. And it's not like our point guard situation is gonna get any better for the playoffs.

Bigger issue was we missed tons of FTs and James had an off shooting night.

We miss FTs like they don't matter. All our bigs should go granny style. Seriously.

Honestly McHale lost the game tonight with his stubbornness and reluctance to stick with what's working in game (rotation wise).

Still don't get why McHale stuck with Harden on Derozoan.....

Here's all you need to know...leading rebounder was Ariza with 8.....that's Trevor with 8.Next closest ? Harden and Brewer with 5. Smoove with 4. You either learn from your mistakes or you are destined to repeat them. REBOUND and FT...REBOUND and FT. Gee whiz.

    Who gives a F?

If the Refs did their job in the first place then we could judge the end of the game fairly, but just like that Memphis game that stains the entire result of the game.

When two teams are going at it like that, EVERY LITTLE bounce of the ball matters and so does every call. Even more so there.

It could be heard on TV, Brewer was RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE REF calling timeout...If they get that time out they get the possession down by 1 with about 40 seconds left on the game.

Sure they could have shot better FTs, sure Capela could have helped, but you know what? How about the refs do their job first? How about that?

The refs screwed us again. But that was pretty bad execution late by the Rockets. Leaving Harden on Derozan made no sense. He was killing him every time down. Did McHale learn nothing from the T-Jones on LaMarcus Aldridge experiment in last year's playoffs? You're allowed to make adjustments. You did it less than a week ago against the Pelicans when you stuck Ariza on Davis.

Also, that was a really bad final possession. With 18 seconds left and 2 timeouts, you can go for 2 and foul intentionally. Granted, your rebounding is terrible without your big men, but it's a better strategy than Ariza jacking up 2 horrible contested 3's. If that's gonna be your play, at least let James do it.

A missed opportunity(with an assist from the refs). This one may haunt them.

In another thread, some dipstick on this board tried to argue that drawing fouls but missing FTs wasn't a big deal because it got the other team in foul trouble.

Tonight proves what an unbelievably stupid and incorrect opinion that is......

Very very alarmed at the continued poor shooting from 3 and the foul line.

Rough loss but Derozan was bigtime tonight. Have to tip your cap to him and move on.

That last possession was awful though. That last possession was a "practice-for-the-playoffs" test that we failed miserably. Harden can't give up the ball in that spot either, he has to pull the double back and create space if that's what the D is doing. He needed to be a bit more patient. But I'm not blaming that possession on just him, Ariza took a dumb shot and needs to have a better feel for the gameclock in that situation.

HATE that last possession. But good effort from this team on a B2B and tough to win when a guy like Derozan plays out of his mind. We need to bounce back from this and still go after that 2 seed hard.

I hate those ppl who say " hey we lost to one of the best teams in the league while missing 3 players" then ur not a great team. Great teams win games and was much winnable. Mcfail watched us getting burned on the board the last 5 mnts with adjustment.
