I do understand that he won't steal any votes if his team finishes 8th/miss the playoffs.

He will have no factor in the race this year.

If you want to compare, AD has a better shot at getting votes than WB.

He isn't in the conversation. People talk about it, to talk about it, but he isn't realistically going to be voted for.

It is a two man race with a third long shot.

IF his team misses the playoffs. You have no way of knowing if they will or won't and you have no way of knowing how many more triple doubles he will record before the year is over with.

See, but as awesome as he has played.

His usage is Kobe Bryant chucking level. He is leading his team to a 500ish record with more talent than Harden has.

    His numbers are inflated.

GS is on pace to finish 10-11 games better than Houston. If that's the case, Curry will win.

I agree lol. I wouldn't vote for him if I had one. As good as he has been, his team hasn't really taken a leap forward. I think that says something. Tell that to the media parrots though. Start with BSPN. They seem to be leading the charge and fueling up the hype machine. Oh look at his triple doubles. Look how fast he can run and how high he can jump. He is the most competitive and driven player in the game. He broke his face and keeps playing. His mask is cute lol.

Lol, if Harden lost MVP race to Curry due to team record is BS.

It's James fault Howard been injured? Fact, Curry has had more help then Harden? Full healthy Dwight + Jones this whole season. We would be at 50 wins maybe game or two behind GSW.

    Generally listening to the radio
I thin Harden will have a hard time winning
not that he does not deserve it but this is a popularity contest

Has Jones got to play GSW this year?

He is a big difference. He can stay with Speights/Iggy defensively.

GSW is going to have to be roughed up on the interior this year. They have some really undersized bigs that can be exploited.

Draymond Green shouldn't be holding your starting 4.

Team record has always been a big factor in the MVP voting. It likely will continue to be.

It should be clear to anyone that watched last night's game that Harden struggled. 4-14 from the floor with 4 turnovers helps support that notion.

    The Rockets won, however.

Your position in this discussion has been confusing, to say the least, so you'll have to clarify for me. Did last night's performance help or hurt Harden's MVP candidacy?

Curry has been struggling as well lately with his shot a bit but shooting isn't the only thing these players do

Harden needs wins, that is his golden number

If Golden State wins 65+ games, then it's hard to deny that Curry is deserving. That being said, if the Rockets manage to secure the 2nd seed, I think Harden's got a more compelling case. He has less talent around him and the team's 2nd star will have missed half the season(as will their starting PF from last year).

It's an easy argument for me; without Curry, Warriors can still win. When Harden sits, 99% are O goes to complete ****.

Yup, FTs is all they have on Harden, but that just proves his greatness. 90% of the time they foul him, so it's a FT, deal with it!

If Harden does not win MVP, it's because of politics. Thanks Calvin Murphy for preaching the truth!!

    As Chris Smoove says

"You've got to foul [him], [he's] too much of a beast".

People claiming that Harden is flopping are wrong because they are all legitimate fouls. He is just the best player at drawing fouls that I've ever seen.
