UPDATE: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Saints and Seattle have now agreed on trade sending jimmy graham and a 4 to Seattle for max Unger and a 1st</p>— Jay Glazer (@JayGlazer) <a href="https://twitter.com/JayGlazer/status/575382457538621440">March 10, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <HR> Wow. Saints put Jimmy Graham on the trading block. They really are in cap hell.
Glazer reporting Jimmy Graham + 4th rounder to Seattle for Max Unger + 1st rounder is a done deal. WOW.
I hate offseason threads ... this is big news, should not be buried (imo). I'm pretty surprised the Seahawks are able to get Jimmy Graham. Goodness. What caliber of player do the Saints get with that late first rounder? Seems like they could have done better, but I don't know.
Anybody else think this has something to do with the Saints and Pelicans inheritance lawsuit? Maybe something to do with shedding costs and assets before it goes to court?
Can we trade from Drew Brees? Bring him home. Seattle is going to wreck shop again next season. Only injuries can stop them.
This entire off-season just feels like the good teams and the bad teams are both getting better, while the teams stuck in mediocrity continue to toil.
I think Graham and Thomas both take serious hits. I don't think Graham was locked-in for a great 2015 in NO either though. Thomas will be option #1 though, on a team that's coming from behind every single Sunday so he definitely has upside. My guess is they both regress but still finish top 4.
