Morey needs a defensive big more than anything right now and Kanter is not that.

Kanter not coming here. He is not a DM type of player.

So, what happened to trying to get at least a great pick for Kanter? The Jazz have done some huge favours to great teams: Warriors, Thunder..

Isn't Kanter a RFA this year? So the Thunder traded away a player who wants to find max money this offseason and brought back another player who thinks he can get big money as a RFA.

I like the move but Kanter doesn't push them over the top or anything. He is a capable offensive player but he is garbage on defense.

They got a player in DJ Augustin that provides more than a sulky RJ does and they get a flyer on a young big who maybe needs a change of scenery, They passed on Bropez, who Presti almost drafted over Russ, so he was very high on him, Kanter clearly has value.

Hear that, Morey. Go get Augustin! His salary is an even 3 mil. We could send over Papa and the Thunder can summarily dump his salary.
