Isn't Kanter a RFA this year? So the Thunder traded away a player who wants to find max money this offseason and brought back another player who thinks he can get big money as a RFA. I like the move but Kanter doesn't push them over the top or anything. He is a capable offensive player but he is garbage on defense.
They got a player in DJ Augustin that provides more than a sulky RJ does and they get a flyer on a young big who maybe needs a change of scenery, They passed on Bropez, who Presti almost drafted over Russ, so he was very high on him, Kanter clearly has value.
