The Rockets needed a backup for Dwight even when they had Black.

Foolish to sign Dorsey at the price he did.

    Funny, but untrue.

Stop bashing Morey, he has done everything he can to improve this team. And I find it funny you think Black is destined to be a Asik/Gortat. I love players like Black who give it their all and do everything physically possible but Black is a Marginal NBA talent. He only has a spot on an NBA roster because he hustles.

Stop taking my comments as "Morey bashing"... your perspective will clear.

I'm a Morey fan, but Dorsey was a bad signing. If anything, it's Les' fault Black was cut instead of Joey.

Don't take my comments as "Les bashing" either.

The difference between Tarik Black and Joey Dorsey won't make a championship impact; the difference between Goran and IT can make a championship difference. Lets move forward instead of squabbling over minor roster moves

Isaiah is a much more better offensive player than Canaan. Like much more better offensively. Not even close. Defensive wise though Thomas sucks.

I would still go for Thomas though, but the Pelicans pick would be off the table if it's not for Bledsoe or Dragic.

Ok, my head is clear now. Dorsey is a terrible player we all know that.

You're missing the big picture, as you are only looking through this as a fan, and not a GM. Saying Dorsey was a bad signing is like saying trading for Schved was a bad trade. It wasn't. Its taking an expiring assets, IE capspace and roster spot, or the Lin trade exception and turning it into something that can be useful later, at absolutely no cost.

Dorsey's contract is a trade asset and could possibly be the difference in facilitating a trade where instead of giving up an Isaiah Canaan, because you lack the right amount of filler, you can instead move Dorsey, whose contract is favorable.

As I guy who spends a fair amount of time putting together trades, Dorsey's contract has been useful on a bunch of different occassions. Signing Dorsey has in no way shape or form stopped the Rockets from doing anything.

He is getting paid 7mil to start for us. I don't think he is good enough to be paid that much as a starter. No thanks.

How is a 2 year minimum contract horrible? You guys overreact on everything. Some of yall are way too emotional and over the top on your statements. Les Alexander pays more than that to buy 2nd round picks that never come to the NBA. If Dorsey had to be cut for a roster spot Les would write that 1.5 mil check immediately.

Who cares? Black was cut because his deal was non guaranteed and we knew somebody would claim him which would remove his salary off our cap. Dorsey was not cut because his deal would not have been claimed and his 2 million salary would get us closer to the luxury tax and maybe cost us a chance to make a trade. The difference between Dorsey and Black is negligible. Good rebounders, decent defenders, and terrible offensive players. Are we really riled up about the 3rd string C? Goodness

Tariq said he has been approached to be an NFL TE. Aaron Rodgers said it to him.

Thomas is an option. It would be us committing to sharing money with Smith and Thomas over a third star and it could able to us to hold onto Beverly.

Because we watch the games and base or analysis off of that. We are tied for 3rd. 1 games ahead of Dallas, 1.5 ahead of the Clippers. And only 2 games ahead of the Spurs who are 7th.

If IT only costed a second rounder or two he would already have been traded. To Boston (Ainge loves him) or Detroit or Charlotte.
My guess is that the more desperate the Suns get the lower the price so the NY second plus Capella should do it value wise.
Maybe after all this is why Morey goes all out on Dragic- to buy low on IT

The NOP pick is an overpayment for Kanter and I can't see in a million years Morey trading for him.

Assets. They thought his contract versus his production was worth it either to flip him later on or to keep him as backup.
THe problem is IT character. He's not someone who has accepted his role as 6th man off the bench. And it has happened in Sac and now in Phoenix too.
