I was excited about this movie because it was the Wachowskis. I still cannot believe how horrible it was. I walked about about midway. I can't remember the last time I walked out of a movie. It was that bad.

Does anyone have anything positive to say about this movie? Visually, the movie seems amazing though.

Was thinking about seeing this with my friend, but I might have to pass. 22% on RT right now; 32/112 positive to negative ratio.

The only good movie they ever made was 16 years ago. What did you expect.

Like 713 said, they really are a one hit wonder. I don;t know why ppl still give them the benefit of the doubt.

Because The Matrix was sublime. You want to give them a chance to duplicate that effort.

It's amazing the sheer incompetence of Hollywood to continually let movies like this be produced at great costs.

    not the same director.

these guys and m. night shamalan have something in common. they made a great movie to start and somehow just keep getting worse and worse and Worse.

    it's actually pretty amazing.

I love Cloud Atlas as well. And even though Speed Racer was an assault on my senses it was an interesting idea and executed in a unique way. I didn't necessarily assume Jupiter Ascending would be a good movie, but I figured even if it was a failure it would be an interesting failure. Instead it was the blandest piece of cinema I've seen in a long, long time.

I can understand on taking risk/gambling. However, there has to be some sort of oversight or "quality control". It's not like these type of big budget movie flops aren't uncommon.

It seems they either have good ideas that are either very difficult to translate into a full length movie or they just suck at the act of directing and had a one mega hit wonder.

Decide for yourselves, don't listen to these people talking about how 'terrible' this movie was, especially if that is ALL they say.

No, this movie was not for everyone, however, it was high 'Space Opera' storytelling, old-school in fact, and it was incredibly well made for what it was. The ONLY weak spot in my opinion was Mila Kunis, who simply is not capable of carrying a film like this.

This was NOT a failure like Speed Racer or Cloud Atlas, this was refreshingly good, and I'll give a proper review in the next couple of days, too busy now.

Honestly, Mila Kunis in the lead role is why I never took this movie seriously to start with.
