So you don't plan on playing again but you still plan on getting the surgery? Is there pain outside of playing ball that this procedure will alleviate?
This subject needs its own thread, if someone would care to make a Dwight surgery speculation thread. Anyway, i wonder if this is why the team has seemed unfocused the last few weeks
would yall deal N.O pick for dieng ?? I mean hes under contract for 3 more years, and hes a proven big, just incase something happens to howard, and hes perfect backup not getting asik money, don't have to chance it in the draft. rockets in: Dieng, k. martin timberwolves in: 2nd, N.O 1st, papa, Dorsey, filler
Isn't he a building block for Minnesota? If he's under contract for 3 more years, why would they need to trade him?
Morey clearly loved K-Mart. His first run here was far from ideal but so were the circumstances of the team. I imagine K-Mart would come in a package with Wicky to help compensate the scoring issues. That would not leave the Brew dog with a whole lot of/if any minutes. Ricky would start and get the bigs rolling but a closing lineup of: Bev Harden K-Mart Ariza Dwight Would be nothing short of lethal.
I actually like Kevin Martin a lot and think he got a bad rap here that he didn't deserve. I'd have no objection to reacquiring him.
Does Kevin Martin really address the Rockets' needs though? He's a scorer, but not a playmaker. And he certainly is not much of a defender. Not to mention that he plays the same position as Harden. I'm not saying I'd turn him down if we don't have to give up much in return, but there have gotta be better targets than him for Morey.
How about Jeremy Lin? We need a competent second ball handler, a second offensive threat, and a member of our family. Who better than Linsanity?
Im sorry but i dont see how getting Martin and Rubio while giving up productive peices moves the needle at all for us. Im not GM though so if we do make the trade hopefully im wrong.
The rules doesn't allow the Rockets to acquire him until next season-- because he was technically traded within the 2014-15 season (to the Lakers in July, which is a part of this season). The same goes with Asik, actually-- since he was a part of the S&T deal that brought Ariza over to Houston.
Er, except when we play the Blazers (Aldridge), the Clippers (Griffin), the Spurs (Duncan), or the Grizzlies (Randolph). We would get bullied so hard down low from the PF position with that line-up.
I'm trying to figure out how Codman was in DC on Chrismas with Rasoul Butler when Rasoul was in NY playing the Knicks. Maybe there's a clue in there
see korver with ATL.... hes a knock down shooter yeah martin doesn't play much D, but we shoot a TON of 3s he can take 8 a game here if he likes & he can put the ball in hoop when we tend to go cold often, his last 8 games 3 of them he scored 37, 34, 33... he fits this team like a glove just like brewer does with his energy. kevin martin this season 29mins 20ppg 48% fg 48% 3pt 3-6 per 21... get a pass first PG or shooting big we will be tough to beat.
