Who was the idiot on the forum who was still pretending last year to be skeptical the Harden trade was good for the Rockets? Or maybe he wasn't pretending and was just a complete moron.
this guy? vv He even had the same thread title as OP, except with "official" in it. haha. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=246294&highlight=Adams
Steven Adams is definitely an NBA quality big. He's one of those guys you hate if he's on the other team but love if he's on your team. That said, this was still one of the most lop-sided trades in NBA history and probably the single biggest reason the Thunder don't yet have a trophy.
OKC was smart in choosing Ibaka over Harden. Utlimately it would be better to have both, but as a small market team they wouldn't spend the money. Harden would be a good player off of their bench, but it would still be the Durant and Westbrook show.

Does the fact that they are trading Lamb potentially for a better player (Lopez) mean we start to monitor how Brook Lopez is doing?
Nah, it becomes a Steven Adams watch thread. Or you move on and admit defeat. OKC hasn't moved on though. I think it's pretty cool that Harden got his number unofficially retired.
Yeah that whole harden # thing is really odd. Don't get me wrong Harden is awesome and will deserve it, but they basically traded him away for peanuts and unless they plan on him coming back (Yeah right), I think if he keeps playing like he is and stays here, Houston will be retiring it. He's truly taken over reg season, just has to do it in playoffs now, and I think this year will be different, he did really well for the whole FIBA thing, pretty much playing on different level now. I also don't know why people are still comparing this trade, Lamb is okay, Adams isn't Harden. The end. For example OKC isn't going to be retiring their numbers like Harden's, haha.
Except it wasn't just Ibaka they chose over him. They also had the option to amnesty Kendrick Perkins to keep Harden. They thought Perkins's defense was more valuable to their team than Harden. Perkins is awful. HORRIBLE DECISION. p.s. You can definitely make a solid case now that they should have kept Harden over Westbrook. I think Harden is playing at a higher level and good shooting guards are definitely a lot more difficult to find in today's NBA than good point guards.
