Kevin McHale is a whisperer of all men, not just big men. There are, however, some men who are just unwhisperable:
This is the type of roster Morey has wanted all along. I think we are finally at the apex of our roster overhaul (I hope they trade for Gogi to prove me wrong). His number crunching and "no mid-range" philosophy has finally created a perfect storm with the players he has acquired. One thing I have always marveled at is the ability of Morey to acquire players that when put together, up their respective games because each player's set of unique skills are magnified by the other players around them, and to a lesser extent, their weaknesses are hidden due to the fluidity and continuity of the roster. I credit McHale for being the buffer between Morey and the roster. His personable attitude, intelligence, & charisma make it easy for a bunch of players thought of as "assets" by the powers at be to buy into this new way of thinking in basketball just go out there and play to the best of their collective ability. Fun time to be a Rockets fan. Happy New Year Clutchfans!
Say what you will. McHale's staff develops talent. Most players play better after they come here. All but Ariza that is. Ariza doesn't shoot very well wearing a rocket's uniform.
I don't know about that. Hakeem has been out of the league a while and is starting to get old. I think most pro athletes can now keep up with him.
