What did Isaiah Canaan do to deserve getting benched?

    I don't get it. When Patrick Beverley was out for a while, Canaan stepped in and played very well.

    Bev comes back, and even Nick Johnson was ahead of Canaan in the rotation. Now, newly acquired Shved is looking like the backup point guard, even though he hasn't proven much with his short tenure in the league.

    There's a reason why he's been on 3 teams in 3 years.

    Even before Shved, Johnson was getting time ahead of Canaan in recent games.

    its just mchale using his random number generator. sometimes he'll use it for the whole rotation, sometimes it will just be between 2 or 3 players. he's had it since minnesota days

    McHale doesn't trust Canaan at this point. He only plays when there are injuries in the back court. Think he could be utilized more as another offensive weapon though.

    I don't get it either. Canaan seemed to do well when Bev was out. Shved is godawful.

    McHale was on with Charlie Palilo a few days ago gushing about Shved. He said he looks great in practice and makes some amazing passes. Maybe that's what it comes down to- he beats Canaan in practice.

    I don't see much in shved, but at the end of the day we are top of the best division in basketball. I have decided to back McHale he's going nowhere.

    I like Kostas as well but as long as the team wins I'm happy

    I know he's still an FNG, but Shved looks like some kid's lost puppy out there on the court. Morey and McHale (former Celtics) see the Great White Hope in this kid but I see the Great White Nope.

    Schved better show up soon, because the Rockets start circling the bowl when he comes into the game.

    Could it be that they're playing Shved the back-up PG role just to showcase him (as ^ alluded to) ? The trade to bring him didn't make much sense, unless the plan was to flip him at the trade deadline.

    I think this is seriously true. As o right now I never want to see Shved on the court again unless its a 30 point blowout with 3 minutes left

    Harden/Bev/Terry/Brewer eat up all his potential minutes. Some nights I think McHale should give him some burn when Terry is struggling.

    Shved is European. Not white. Europeans rely on bball IQ whereas white players rely on motor.

    This one is a head scratcher no doubt. The little I've seen of Shved is honestly all i want to see of the guy, he flat out sucks as a defender and his 2 shots looked god awful as well.
