He's most likely going to be the 5th option on offense after Harden, Howard, D-mo, and Ariza. We are really deep!!!!!

People tend to overlook his passing ability. He will have the second highest assists on the rockets.

Smith will find a home at the low block and elbow area.

Why do people say his athleticism is on the decline?

Those dunks and the block on Wright tell me otherwise

His athleticism in this Hawks mix is insane though. I doubt he still has all that in him.

Now the most important thing - team chemistry. 1/3 of the season is gone, I think Rockets could be rally good during regular season and get high seed in loaded west.
Playoffs we will think then 82 games are done.

People expect JS to stop shooting and be 4-5 option :) It's his contract year, He will shoot, and he will miss most of his shots...

    With a starting lineup of:

    Bev/Harden/Ariza/Smith/Howard

he would be like a 3.5 option along with Ariza. Maybe a 3.33 option and Ariza a 3.666 option. And even more important than that is the amount of attention the guys in front of him will draw. Harden and Howard each demand more attention than any other player Smith has played with.

He will be in a really, really good position to return to Atlanta days. He's a good rebounder, great defensive player, good finisher inside. It's not like any of our other PFs are stretch 4s anyway. He can grab cleanup buckets, score in transition, rack up some nice assists, and stop the ridiculous crop of WC power forwards from destroying us. And DMo can get more post touches against crappier, worse defenders and be one of the top offensive options for our bench.

This acquisition has the potential to be huge for this team. And it's such a bizarre, never going to happen again situation.
