I'd rather just give Phx Shved, Canaan, Johnson and Capela for Dragic (pretty sure that works salary wise, if not add another low budget player) and have a decent bench!

 

Agreed. It's just a flexible contract so Morey doesn't have to limit his options at the deadline.

There are so many ways to make the Dragic trade work that there's no point in just taking on Shved for this reason. Just Jason Terry would work in a trade salary wise. I want Dragic as much as anyone, but if Phoenix is willing to give him up, he'd be a Rocket already regardless of our other moves.

According to Larry Coon league would block that trade under general circumvention rules.

 

Asik/Lin are pretty good examples that Morey is not afraid to game the system and try and exploit loopholes. I wouldn't put it past him to at least try something like that.

 

For some reason I see Alexy Shved as a Spurs player. I could easily see Morey dangling Shved out in front of Pop and saying nanny-nanny-boo-boo look what I got!!

Alexey Shved is your new backup point guard. I like the move. A lot of potential, not sure is Daryl Morey is finished but Shved could be a keeper. A potential 6-7 PG would create real matchup problems in the West.
