Lets not speak of his 3 steals this game. Because they aren't important. Let's ride him for one play and discuss nothing of any of the other players getting handled.

Might as well get used to it. Any good defense he does play and the bad defense others play will largely be ignored while the handful of times he screws up will be magnified.

It's perfection or bust. He brought it upon himself, but as usual it's been blown way out of proportion.

McHale is a bottom five coach, the worst coach ever and the Rockets need to fix their mistake or they're going nowhere.

PS: McHale is a bottom five coach and the worst coach ever.

    /FTW Rockets FTW

Something tells me it'd be a lot easier for McHale to take out one of the elite offensive players in the game for playing bad defense when his options to replace him are other elite players.

Harden is still looking for his shot, but he's the primary playmaker in that early 2nd qtr explosion to get separation from FIN.

He was getting steals and even blocks on the guy he was guarding. Issuing pretty assists.

This young USA team is out to prove something. No one's a diva. Everyone is playing defense, distributing the shots well, role players like Faried playing their roles. Their bench is gonna give them the edge over all other teams' bench units. Good to see Cousins with his head in the right place.

If only he hadn't been caught ball watching the US would have won by 24 instead of 21.

Watch the play. He was anticipating a steal/break which is generally the bread and butter for the US National team for about 25 years. I guess he should have hustled back and closed out the shooter but this is a glorified exhibition and I'm glad he didn't.

I hope he comes home, too important to the Rockets to be wearing down chasing a bunch of turks around to ameliorate a bunch Internet jadaveons.

    Sux doesn't it.

And if he had played defence on that shot, he would have been +29 for the game, instead of +26. Clearly his poor defence on that play cost the US majorly.

Looks like they were playing a zone. That's Curry's rotation, not Harden's.

If Harden rotates all the way to the corner that opens up more holes on the perimeter. Curry doesn't even step out of the paint.

But just keep hating on our best player, and ignore the fact that four out of five Team USA players were standing flat-footed on the play because that's the cool thing to do.

If they were playing a zone why is anthony davis at the 3 point line? He should be in the paint. I think you're somewhat correct, it's just a zone that got messed up. Bad play by all.

This is why so many people bash James Harden.

I agree completely, Curry shouldn't be down low either. But Harden is the only one that gets criticised for that? Yeah, seems fair.

If you get this much attention/hate. You got to be pretty good at your craft. If james harden wasn't good nobody would go out of there way to see this guy fail on one play that didn't even matter in a 20+ point win.

With out harden this team has no chance at winning gold. Steph curry and Irving go 1 vs 1 everytime they have the ball and sony play a lick of defense. They should nvr be on the floor together the offense sucks when the have the ball in there hands. Not to mention curry has been garbage with his shooting.

Let's completely disregard the fact that Harden's defense was generally really good and he, along with Faried and maybe Davis' second half is the only reason the US even won.

I don't think it's fair to judge Harden on a single play, even if it was a close game at the time.

Sometimes people just make mistakes or fall into old habits sometimes.
