Agree. Its like buying a car, you play the salesman against one another. Question is who do we really want? My guess is Rondo. Will Ainge blink?

what other options do we have?..morey is signing scrubs left and right but has yet to address our weaknesses. I'm not a fan of rubio at all but he is "pure" pass first point guard. we need someone to take the ball out of harden's hands and make him strictly a scorer rather than James (creator, ball handler, scorer, shooter) Harden. we need to take some pressure off of him.

James Harden does all those things really well. Does he need another competent backcourt ball handler+scorer? Yes. Absolutely. Not parsons was not that - he couldn't create.

But that doesn't mean he/they need a Rubio type. A healthy Bledsoe would be just as good. Sure not anywhere near the visionary creator... But a real offensive threat who can also pick up assists. If Harden and the starting PG between them average 12+ assists per night that'd be great. They could get that with a Bledsoe/Dragic type... And those players would also be able to shoot, score and create for themselves.... And spend time at the two guard for smaller lineups.... Another thing Rubio can't do.

Is it too early to create a "Ricky Rubio Nickname" thread?

I see you lack either game, or confidence.

I don't understand the comparison of Rubio to Lin. Like him or hate him, Rubio's totally different player from Lin in every shape, way, or form.

The comparison to Lin is valid for this reason. Lin was an inconsistent shooter who needed the ball in his hands to be good and thats why he was a bad fit. Rubio is a TERRIBLE shooter who needs the ball in his hand to be successful AND he can't finish. So how is he going to fit?

Actually, Lin was inconsistent all around..... Lin was not a bad fit because he needed the ball to be good.... Lin was bad because he was turnover prone and couldn't handle the ball..... He would make the same mistakes night in and night out.... Rubio on the other hand can actually create for Howard... I actually feel Howard would score a lot more with Rubio on the team vs any other point guard we are trying to get..... Rubio is good for Howard.... We should do the best to keep Howard happy....

Shooting is the only thing Lin has advantage over Rubio. Rubio is superior in all other aspects of the game: assists, rebounds, defense, steals, turn overs, etc. It's an insult to compare Rubio with Lin. And I don't even like Rubio all that much.

Unless Dallas and Miami are contenders, I cant think of a contender the guy would even start for.
