No way he lost two stone, he only weighed 235 last season and he didn't look fat like he did in Denver. He looks like he probably lost about 10-12 lbs. Won't change any aspect of his game, might be quicker but I don't expect a more intense defensive effort or more assist. If anything I think he'll play longer minutes and shoot more
I was thinking the same thing. It obviously worked well for Tim Duncan. Yet another thing they were ahead of the rest of the league on, I guess.
Meh.. Duncan was always a thinner finesse player, I wouldn't give the Spurs too much credit for than.. No more than KG or Kobe, both of whom lost weight.
Hakeem had to gain weight to have his peak years. He didn't have the luxury to slim down against the centers of the '90s.
It's the Felton effect. No more donut diets and Indian buffets. Watch Parsons gain 2 stone once Raymond gets his mojo going
Pretty much all their players have similar builds. It doesn't look like they emphasize strength training at all. It's almost like they all bought into training by just playing basketball, without any regard at all for aesthetics. Parker is always doing drills to get his glute/core firing pregame, so that may be the only other thing they do... Mills and Diaw were told to lose weight. Splitter may be the only exception, but that guy is just has a large frame.
