umm am I the only who thinks there is absolutely no way we get Dragic... seriously wtf do we have that PHX would want? They already have a ton of draft picks and young talent.
Dammit, Carl. Just when I start to tire of your multi-dimensional trolling, you reel me back in with a gem.
The fact that they have a ton of draft picks and young talent just shows that they really value draft picks and young talent. Your argument is like saying that James Harden would have no interest in trading anything for more big booty ladies because he already has many big booty ladies in his life. Nonsense! The presence of these big booty ladies just shows that James Harden desires big booty ladies and is interested in more.
Ok so PHX just gives us all nba 3rd team Dragic for a late 1st round pick? They are willing to go backwards? Why? EB stays healhty they are in the playoffs. Dragic/Bledsoe together were literally a top 3 back court in the league last year. They will sign him and be set with a G rotation of Dragic/Bledsoe/Green & IT. They need a vet big, we wouldn't trade Dwight for their entire roster. We just are not good trade partners.
Plowman, your confidence and saying they WILL trade Dragic, "to us".... leads me to believe you've been told we have something (someone) they truly covet. Is that true and can you share who/what that might be? If the pick may not go unless it's a three team trade, I'm guessing T. Jones (or maybe D-Mo?) and possibly Capela or Kostas? Can you fill us in?
On top of that, we might be getting a PF too? With the assets we have NOW? And NO's pick may not even be included? Sorry, not buying it.
Plowman, is there any word on Marion? Cyberx even said Rashard Lewis may be a possibility on a non guaranteed deal?
Trading away Dragic might be the prerequisite for freeing up money to sign Bledsoe to a longer deal. Many teams have more stringent budget constraints than the Rockets. In such a case, having someone with a trade exception to absorb a significant part of the salary would be important. Because it would be time sensitive you'd need someone ready and able to pull the trigger on a deal without having to do a whole bunch of set up maneuvering. Those conditions, in addition to finding a team in need of a starter at PG would significantly constrain the number of trade partners available. Among that very small group, the Rockets' less than stellar package could be the best bad offer they have available.
A trade partner may not be interested in just any piece. But a trade partner may be interested in the One Piece. Spoiler
