He really should show it on the court, but not say it off court.

Embrace the hate. That sub has the most idiotic obsessions and is definitely not representative of most NBA fans

To address your points -(1) what underlying meaning? I took hi underlying meaning as a dis to current and past players.
    (2) OK, then where was he after a bad game or a bad loss. He took off out the back door. I saw Lin and others take responsibility but he rarely did.
    (3) How many people here were blaming Lin for the losses in the playoffs or blaming Parsons for the open look to end it?
    (4) What he said was stupid and immature.

The difference between what he said and what Howard said is also different. Howard talked about an ex-teammate while Harden talked about the ex and current team-mates. Big difference.

Yes, but what happens when the money is more or less equal between two or more offers? Then the other factors matter.

You don't know what you are talking about.

Kobe Bryant didn't defend, neither did Larry Bird... Magic Johnson didn't either.... Oscar Robertson didn't either....

I didn't think so. It wasn't any worse than anyone else's, that's for sure.

You have no idea how wrong you are......

You would be horrified to hear what Jordan called his teammates, how he treated them and what he made them do off the court...

Olajuwon established order, he was #1, everything went through him... everyone else was a ROLE PLAYER. What happened when players got too full of themselves or didn't know their role? Ask Sam Cassell...

How does a poster having a different view point from your own equate to that poster being immature?

Yea but the pieces you added this year compare to last year are garage. Harden is not an analyst, he's just an NBA player. Take the words with a grain of salt.

If Kobe said this, he'd be praised for being a leader, but since it's Harden there will inevitably be some media criticism.

I don't recall Jordan, Kobe or Lebron ever saying something like that after winning so many championship rings. Wow. What happened to... we're a team... we need each other... all that good stuff. LOL.

Pretty sure Kobe demanded a trade and talked trash about some of his teammates a couple years after winning three championships.

I can tell that you have never been around an NBA team and locker room.

The roles are very, very defined, especially on good NBA teams.

There is no shame in calling them role players or pieces, because they are role players and know they are. There is no shame associated with that.

He didn't say they "suck", he didn't "mock" them. What he said is 100% accurate and needed to be said. The focus on the Rockets is Harden and Howard, and it needs to be. The other players need to know that, they need to know what they are expected to do and how to act.

Harden (for one of the first times) show alpha tendencies and leadership. He put additional responsibility and pressure on himself and reiterated the pecking order on the team.

Talk about this whole thing being over blown.

That's such a piss-poor attitude. Sure lets overemphasize our own value and treat everybody else like the easily replaceable pawns they are. Because that's the sure-fire best way to build team chemistry and form that bond that will take you to the next level. Smh, the level of corporate dehumanizing in sports is so prevalent, that it doesn't even fell like the sport I knew anymore.

Because Kobe has actually led a team somewhere other than the first round.
