Didn't Dwight also tweet how funny a pee joke was? That's the guy who you want offering discourse on international politics?

 

Dwight knows nothing about what is going on over there, that's the problem.

Dwight is also the christian man who has half a dozen kids running around out of wedlock. He tweeted this based on religious reasons and not about international politics.

 

Why should they? They have their own country. It's being occupied by a terrorist group known as Israel.

I think Ronaldo and dwight howard are cooler than you. This free Palestine thing is trending on twitter and this forum lately. Those pics, and videos have me convinced. They should not suffer because of Hamas. Hamas did the same thing in Libya and you should check your facts. Nobody on this forums seems to know they are a terrorist organization, and not supported by Palestine or the Palestinian people.

Sure many people on both side want peace, but many others do not want it. If you could make both side either live peacefully or both are eliminated, I am sure peace will be reached within a short time.

As many in the Israeli press, (as well as al-Jazeera and frustrated American and EU diplomats) have said for years, the status quo is preferable to the concessions required for all parties, as it would weaken their already fragile consensus from within.

What people don't understand is that when they repost talking points from the IDF spokeperson unit or a pro-Palestinian NGO, they are helping to stregthen that status quo. None of the people who write these things are getting paid to send out a nuanced and completely honest explanation of the political picture. It's their job to destroy it and keep their version of events on top.

These are the products of PR wonks, media experts, and spin meisters, not white knights trying to save the world from Bad Guys, nor trusted journalists who have a vested interest in informing their audience.

They are trying to take a sectarian conflict to the Internet to win the hearts and minds of useful idiots who will do their dirty work with enthusiasm. What's presented is mostly and usually true, but that's not the point. Facts don't need much toying around to become a useful asset to direct rage toward the enemy and away from scrutiny on you. It's propaganda and not even particularly good propaganda.

Like all propaganda, both sides have long histories of stretching the truth when it suits them, deliberately ignoraing details that detract from their message, or changing the subject with little historical tidbits of outrage in order to distract from current things they'd rather not answer to.
