Those 'problem contracts' are the reason we were able to acquire both Lin and Asik... Both were acquired for NOTHING (no trades, draft picks, etc...) we had both for 2 years at a cut rate price of 5M/yr each.... we then dealt Lin (at the cost of our first rd pick) and dealt Asik (gaining the Pelicans first rd pick...)
So at the end of the day, Morey got 2 players at a cut rate deal for 2 years and THEN swapped our first rd pick for the peilcans first rd pick - FOR NOTHING!!!!!

    KNEEL BEFORE MOREY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

lol - just a random observation....

Melo/Amare was pretty much the same as Harden/Howard.
Melo>Harden and Howard>Amare. We had better role players most of which are pretty much gone now. Ariza is a decent addition but I still would have rather had an overpriced Parsons.

some form of trade with Asik will be completed by Monday..whether to New Orleans for that pick (4-20) or a 3 teamer and still receiving that pick

It was genius by Daryl Morey.

They got Asik and Lin for 5 million a year for two seasons and essentially traded a very late 1st rounder for a probable lottery pick in the process. Apparently the contracts were no problem for Daryl Morey.

Thats a joke write? Harden and Howard challenge for the Eastern Conference championship.

Amare and Melo can't even make the play-offs

Thus the "WAS". Melo is always > Harden. Although, they both suck defensely.

Soon it will be Melo < Harden.

Then when Harden starts to play d, Durant < Harden.

NOPE Melo can only dream to be a stud playmaker and be as ultra efficient as Harden

Rockets last vs Nyks 1st yr with melo and mare

    harden >>> melo
    Dh12 >>> amare

    Absolutely not.

Melo facilitates offense only for himself.

Harden can facilitate offense for himself and his teammates.

Lol Harden is much better than Melo, Media are trying to make us believe so hard that Melo is so good putting his scoring stats(points) as evidence. He is very good at creating his own shot. What else he does ? Ahh he also rebounds very well.

I'll take Harden over Melo any day, especially with his ability to be reliable in the clutch.

Just need a real PG next to him so he can play confidently without constantly handling the ball.

While I agree and will defintely take Harden over Melo, Do not knock Melo's clutchness. Carmelo has always been clutch moreso than Harden.

We didn't lose Lin, Asik and Chandler for nothing.

Somewhere in Houston, we got some nice egg rolls, kebabs and ritz crackers for free!!!

Amare was never the same player when he played with Melo. Harden and Howard >>> Melo and Amare.

we just paid lin $5M/yr for 2 years. the $8M cap hit didn't get in the way of signing any major free agents, in fact morey was able to move it if we were going to get a max guy. we didn't get a max guy, but traded lin and a future first and second for ariza.

asik was paid only $5M/yr for 2 years (which is seriously underpaying him, and again the $8M cap hit didn't get in the way of using the cap for better players. we wont lose him for nothing, since we are getting a nice pick out of it (not just a crappy late round pick). remember that toronto pock we got for lowry? it wasn't 'nothing' when we traded it for harden, right?

finally, and most obviously, we didn't lose chandler for nothing. we will most likely match and not lose him at all. and if we dont match it would be wise to ask for something from dallas for not matching (like a future first).
