For me it is us either matching Parsons or letting him walk, without adding anyone else of value, either through trade or FA. Having said that, do any of you think nick Johnson will be good enough to be a major contributor next year? He seems like a real gamer and a pretty good fit next to harden (and perhaps bev for shirt stretches). I'm pretty gutted about the off season to this point, but in the spirit of positivity and optimism, at least Morey seems to have found another get of a second rounder...

oh man that would be the worst case scenario. Team - minus asik, lin and parsons - new face: johnson. 45 wins at best under that plan without other considerable improvements.

As it stands now if all we do is overpay Parsons then we might not even make the Playoffs in the West. West is loaded, Phoenix is coming on strong, and the Pelicans if healthy can be a threat.

The Rockets will basically have a starting 5 and no bench. Any single injury and we could go on a long losing streak.

It's said Morey's biggest asset is unmasking hidden talent & finding contribution from lesser players...he better be showing us this now after striking out on the major FAs.

letting parsons walk is the worst case scenario. anytime you can go over the cap, you need to utilize that. any scenario we have, the best options include matching parsons
