The Mavs are a much better organization than the Rockets....better owner, better coach, they emphasize team over star egos. They take care of their players. On top of that, they are prepared to pay Parsons a huge amount of money. He gets to play with Tyson Chandler, Dirk Nowitski and a more mature Monta Ellis along with other quality veterans. No one in their right minds would turn down that offer.

I agree. Besides the money, playing for a top tier coach like Carlisle had to be a big draw for Parsons. That and Cuban 's connections in media. It's no secret that Chandler has aspirations off the court. Cuban can help with that more than Les. But I hope he thanked Les for that Chinese sneaker deal.

Precisely! Loyalty isn't just there anymore. The moment you make everything into "just" pure business, these things happen. That's why Dirk and Duncan are endangered species. It's the same with Pops. And I think that's one thing missing from Rockets to be elite. There's not much connection between the players, management and the franchise. Everything is just pure business. So in the end, everybody is connected only by MONEY. When somebody offers more money, then the relationship ends.

Mavericks take care of their players? Better organization?

OK, I guess Cuban took care of Tyson Chandler by refusing to pay him after their championship and then trading back for him like b****. Don't forget Tyson was DPOY with the Knicks, why didn't Cuban see that coming? Or how about when he totally blew his team up when he shouldn't have? Dude has struck out on nearly every big name FA since God knows when. It's downright pathetic watching them w**** themselves out every FA

Way to twist the narrative dumba$$

I don't like matching but like Carl said, you aren't helping yourself by not matching and there is a high likelihood it actually hurts you to let him go for nothing and help an in conference competitor.

At the end of the day, I view this contract similar to the Lin and Asik contracts. In all likelihood, this is a 2 year deal. He's opting out after 2 seasons I can almost guarantee(given Dwight contract situation). He's going to need to perform and improve to put himself in a situation to get another Pay day anyways.

I also don't think the Rockets are getting Bosh FYI. Sorry but too many moves and the Lin n Asik trades not being official yet is key. I think it's a high likelihood that the Rockets bring their same team back from last year, the big 3 end up back in Miami, and Melo ends up back in NYC. The whole drama of this offseason is probably for nothing.

Well, you're right that somebody is making things up in their minds.
