Splash!! It's Happening!!! And any other sarcastic thing I can think of. He should not be allowed back with the same hair style. The "school girl do" has to go. On second thought don't bring him back at all. He sucks. Not as bad as Casspi, but….

Luong Deng + Paul Millsap are a better fit in positions of need than a third superstar other than Lebron. I hope Morey deploys his plan x, y and z, soon, before we are left with scrub free agents.

We already have that "3rd superstar" in Parsons....right? and that up and coming Jordanesque player known as Linsanity...uh...so no worries.

Unless Parsons is traded, Deng is redundant as neither Parsons or Deng is capable of being a sustainable starting PF.

Milsap will be expensive, like Parsons expensive. Milsap just came of a all star, career season and is on a below market value contract. The Hawks are in a good direction with a Teague/Korver/Milsap/Horford core, they plan to make some noise in the playoffs next season, and they have no intentions of giving away their all star.

Then, I am afraid that unless Bosh signs with us, it will be Howard, Harden, Parsons + scrubs. (sigh...)

The Suns have more cap space then we do... We would have to trade for him.... The also have a ton of 1st round pick so our and NOH picks have little value to them. The only players they would want are Harden / Howard / Parsons / maybe Bev (good contract).
    Trade:
    Parsons and Bev
    ...for...
    Bledsoe
    in a two way s&t

    or

    Harden or Howard
    ...for....
Bledsoe and 2 or 3 first round picks

it will hurt to get him

of the options I like Howard (21.44M +/ yr) for Bledsoe PLUS the picks.

(can we resend the NOH trade and keep Asik?) if not Blanche / Hill is about all that is left.

If the Rockets miss out on Bosh, Melo, and can't immediately trade for Love....

I think the smart thing to do would be to try and do what Atlanta did last year and try and steal a Paul Millsap type & bring back the same team plus some quality value signings.

(underrated free agent who gets left over and can over-perform his contract).

If the Rockets aren't going to land a big time free agent, and they are going to have to overpay to keep Parsons, than they are going to need to set themselves up to be able to make trades later on. I dont see a caliber of player like Millsap after the big fish get off the market, but you never know who might get left behind after the money dries up. The Rockets obviously are going to have a nice bevy of assets to trade later on-

    -Pelles draft pick (Asik trade)
    -Up to 3 first rounders (Probably 2015, 2017, 2019)
-Lin expiring (if they don't just go ahead and move him, which they might do anyways to sign other players)
-Terrence Jones (underrated value right now on his contract)
-D-Mo (with no acquisition this year, and Asik gone his value will skyrocket or plummet)
    -Capela
    -3 great Europrospects
    -a bevy of 2nd rounders
    -etc.

Some names that could be bargain's that later turn into assets-

-Luol Deng (probably the biggest Millsap-type candidate to get left over)
    -Xavier Henry
    -Jordan Hill
    -Ayon
    -Aron Baynes
-Jameer Nelson (potential bounce back year)
    -James Johnson
    etc.

-Also, IF Lebron goes to Cleveland, and the Rockets miss out on Bosh, don't be shocked if Morey gets very predatory in that case. Dion Waiters, Gee, etc. could be had for next to nothing. There are teams like this that in response to whatever happens WILL dump good players for a good price once the big fish make their moves. The Rockets could very well come back looking much, much deeper than last year without having to shell out a max contract & sacrificing long term flexibility.

Brian Roberts, Jason Smith, and Xavier Henry or CDR.

    Bev/Roberts/Canaan
    Harden/Daniels/Johnson
    Parsons/Henry(CDR)
    Jones/Motiejunas/Covington
    Dwight/Smith/Capela

    enough.

Wait. Fans won't be happy, but the Rockets should wait the next opportunity for a 3rd star like Durant, Love, or Aldridge.

    Fans won't be happy?
    What about Harden and Howard.

Howard came here to win now. If we march in that room and tell him we have to wait two more years he's going to demand a trade.

If we can't get a Bosh/Parsons combo, it would actually be better to get Deng for 10 mil and trade Lin/Dmo+pick for Young/McDaniels

    Howard/Young/Deng/Harden/Beverly
    Jones, Troy, McDaniels, Canaan, etc

I wouldn't be too mad at that lineup. I'd be disappointed as hell, but that lineup is better than last year.
