how does one even pronounce the stadium?

    T-D-E-C-U (spelling out the letters?)

    or "T-decu"? Turdecu?

It is "Tee-dee-ee-see-you". Yep, spelling out the letters. My family and I have been members of this credit union for decades. My uncle is a Dow employee.

Nope, but we can still call it "O'Quinn Field".

Ok just to confirm that is indeed an awful stadium name.

Unfortunately yes, the only good thing to say about it is that it should be the highest-paid naming rights deal for a college stadium yet, and it will only be for 10 years.

Besides Dickey hire, Mack Rhoades has done a nice job.

Except that hardly any college programs sell the naming rights of their stadium.

When you compare it to the peers (Louisville, Rutgers, Texas Tech), it's something to be impressed by regardless.

It should also be noted that the majority of college stadiums that don't have a corporate sponsorship fall into two camps:

    1) The stadium was built and dedicated a long ass time ago

    2) The stadium naming rights were given, usually on behalf of a large, one-time donation from a very wealthy booster or alumni (sometimes responsible for financing the entire project, see Drayton McLane, etc.)

    This.

It's good for the program, and it's going to be a nice looking home field.

But man, that name is just turrble.

Eh, they only named it McLane because Shyster Backstabbing Baptist C*cksucker Stadium was too long to print on the tickets & programs.

When I'm going to the games sitting in my Dad's season tickets, I will refer to it as SBBC Stadium.

The endzone with the skyline is awesome.

Are they gonna fill out the rest of the stadium with those gray seats?
