As Carmelo Anthony leans toward leaving New York, Chicago and Houston emerge as frontrunners

Signing Bosh will force LBJ away from Miami unless Melo decides to go there in Bosh's place. That would be quite the scenario! Melo would still make more money with Miami than NY due to no state taxes and gets to be on a contender

The person holding this up is Chris Bosh. If Bosh wants to go to Houston, if he decides to do that, that frees Miami up to offer Carmelo max dollars. What isn't a long shot is if Bosh ends up leaving and you have that cap space and Miami can tell Carmelo to come to South Beach. It would have to be facilitated by Bosh going to Houston.

Nobody knows what LeBron wants to do. Cleveland is available. Phoenix, Dallas, Houst, and obviously Miami is in the lead. Gortat, Lowry are off the boards. Riley could be waiting to see what Bosh does. If Bosh leaves for Houston, you have a scenario where you get another big three: LeBron, Wade and Carmelo.

Who knows. Saunders trying to make an impression. Had a deal for Thompson, Barnes and Lee but Golden State wanted the #13 pick. Minnesota wasn't giving into that so he said no go. He's trying to prove he can win as a coach again. Love will probably stay put for the time being.

LeBron, it could be a week or even two before he makes a decision.

 

That makes no sense to me. If they dont want Bosh or prefer Melo, they could just go with Melo now. They dont need Bosh to do anything.

 

I believe that even though all big 3 have opted out of their respective contracts, Miami still has a cap hold from them until they either sign with someone else or renounce their hold.

 

If they renounce Bosh he'll be a Rocket by the next day.
